All fair, but the final prize does give CP . . .

It just kind of depends on which prize you pick, but one certainly does.

Edit: Every action on every part of the carousel seems to raise a stat, mostly 'watchful', I think . . . while waiting for opp cards relies heavily on the RNG, so you may go a day using up actions without getting a single CP increase . . . it depends on what kind of player you are, but I'm happy to use Flute Street every so often, in between London excursions, as it does have uses smile

It is a good way to raise Watchful. That's a bonus. I'm, unfortunately, capped, so less benefit there.
I see the raising of cp on final option. Missed that. Can you assess by how much?
Less than 30. 5? 10? 15?
I still argue that drawing 2 cards in 23 draws will gain you more connection and is very plausible and more connection profitable and echo wise more profitable (since you are available to grind other cards and AoB/CoC or whatever in London).
Unless you can tell me that final choice in Flute raises 20-25 cp of connection, to add to those before the final choice, I don't see how this is profitable in connections and echo.
It IS fun lore and a nice place to hang out, but not if wanting to arm race yourself with rubber.
(Add the 10 action to get there and 5 additional action to leave).

Concerning Flute Street:
With Time Passing 7-9 you can get 5 CPPA with "A Rubbery Knot" for a total of 70 CP, I think (14 action * 5 CP).
With Time Passing 10 (the final stage) you can get +35 CP with "A closer look at their devices".

If my math's right that means it's 24 actions per carousel and with the right options it gives 3.33 CPPA. Definitely not the most efficient option, but it's certainly more consistent than waiting to draw cards, especially for those with more crowded decks.

Hmm.. I got my calculations to indicate otherwise. Can you help me figure what's wrong with them?
5 cp connection for every action between 7-9 on carousel. Each action raise the carousel by 2 cp, so that's only 9 actions to complete 7-9.
9 actions * 5 cp = +45 connections.
Last final stage is only 25 or under. I have a photo from that action, made several month ago, showing me a raise between level 29 to 30.
I just did that again and rose from level 21 (with 19 cp) to level 22 (unkown cp). Indicating 25 cp at max.
So that's 45 cp + final stage of... 5-25 cp. For total of 50-70 cp after 24 actions.
(Profit for these actions are among the worst available at Flute, not including 15 actions to get there and back. But that's just echo wise, if you care about that when also grinding for connections).
I *think* you are wrong about the second stage of the carousel (i.e. the 9 actions). Level 7-9 should be 27 CP (8+9+10). With 2 CP Time Passing that should be 14 actions instead of 9, shouldn't it? If so, 14*5 CP is 70 CP.
I am not sure about the 35 CP in the end, though. You might be right with your estimate, I just took that number from the notes I took about a year ago.

How many CP are a level of "connected"? Is it 50 or 70, I am always mixing that up...

No, it's only 8+9 since the payout is at 9. And it's 50 CP per level from level 50 on; only the main stats have pyramidal caps of 70.

Ah, sorry, I hadn't realised that made a difference.

57 smile

Probably not enough yet to get me all three items promised earlier on, but I'm determined to raise it as much as possible until Tuesday for the best shot possible wink Seeing as renown is a pain to raise, I'm better off doing all I can now than to attempt it after XD

So that means the final stage at Flute gives something around 10-20 cp. Makes sense.
Yes, Renown is easy to raise for Criminals but very slow for TC and docks. I will too try to rush it forward before the change occur.
Though I'll choose to do this with opp cards and not Flute street (though, again, I recommend it as a very nice place to have if wanting to spend some Fate. This place will stay open after fate purchase with no further investment needed).

I would ideally like to hit right around 15-20 Renown, so that I can skip the initial grind and maybe qualify for an item, but still preserve a lot of the quirk adjustment from the 15+ renown action. Then again, that 15+ action might boost a quirk I don't want, so who knows?

Edit: Just did the final action in Flute Street (Take a closer look at their devices) and went from Connected 9 to 11, so I would place the estimate at ~20 CP.

I think I saw it increase by exactly 16 cp.

Okay I just did the final option and I think it increased by 18 CP for me, if I'm counting right. I was 2 CP shy of 27 and now after doing the 5 CP mid-carousel option once I'm at 21 CP.

20 renown was, for the docks, connected 121. which makes sense, actually, because that is a lot of favors. 1 cp docks equals 2 pence by standard cash ins, and the new conflict cards value them at 5 pence, but either way, it's not nearly as absurd as it sounds. still absurd, though.

I did another loop and also think that it's 18 or possibly 19 CP.

Right. so we have about 64 cp increase in a 24 action loop.
Rahv, you have quite an impressive amount of connections. Do you feel this loop is productive and efficient in gaining connections or would recommend staying and drawing conflict cards?

I'd say this is much more productive than drawing conflict cards, at least if you stay in Flute Street for a while. You get roughly one level for every 20 actions.
You could probably tailor your deck such that it becomes more likely to draw the conflict cards (remote address, nuking all other connections except constables & revolutionaries, etc.) But even than you'd have to draw one of the right cards once every 12 actions to keep up, which seems unlikely.

You can always just mouse over the quality image before and after for exact CP amounts. It won't show it when you change levels, but otherwise it says how many CP you have and how many to the next level :P
