The "Attend and speak of terrible things" option is back on the "An Evening at the Duchess' Salon". I think it was gone for awhile. Am I misremembering? Does this mean SMEN is back in play? Or am I just misremembering?

I think you just need to have 3-5 unaccountably peckish to see it. But we can still hope.

Attend and speak of...terrible things has always been there. At least since I began playing anyway, which was after SMEN ended.
It just requires Unaccountably Peckish 2 to become visible, and becomes unavailable if your Unaccountably Peckish reaches 6.
