Jesus, people. Let me have this one. I just stuff food on my mouth with my bare hands at home. I only leave crumbs everywhere when people serve me fungal crackers without any side order of tea to damp these things a little. This is decent enough.

If that doesn't appeal to you, Professor, just change the terms of engagement. I now use the same knife for woodcarving, fighting and dining, and no one dares to say anything to me.

Some of us managed to become persuasive before we even had proper eyes and a digestive system. It's all about style.

That's pretty much how my interactions with Estelle went. And the "...deep... our liason" part is the flavour text from the House of Chimes card, and it was too funny not to include it. Our talk ended with me having rough fun with some orphans. 10/10 as Persuasive lessons go.

This comic may explain how I went to New Newgate as a prisoner (again) in the trail of the Vake, when I DO have enough Constables connections and detective creed to go there, you know, for legitimate reasons.
