Why isn't Jack Gone?

Dear friends--I have been playing for some time, albeit in a rather unfocused fashion. I have decided that it is time for Jack to go. And yet I cannot see how to accomplish this. I have tried various in-game strategies and searched forums and wikis (perhaps ineffectually, but in good faith) and cannot find the info. My dangerous is 152 and perhaps that is a problem?
I have made Jack put the man down and I have dealt with his expanded interests several times, all to no avail.
Advices most welcome! Perhaps I just need to move along to other things?
In perplexity,

(Always looking for bouts of horticultural combat, for what it is worth, and really up for anything social.) The only way to put jack down- or rather, prevent the existence of any more- is to finish a much later storyline. The jacks you kill do die, but putting them down is like trying to kill of an ant colony by repeatedly knocking over the hill and doing nothing else, or like squishing ants one at a time. The claim that he transfers between bodies is a lie, but everyone who said they were jack was, once.
Later, in the velociclopede squad, you can actually partake in a quest to put jack down for good- but there's only one place you can do that, and if you pass up the chance then, all you can do is mitigate the damage.
You need to take the jack of smiles case, which requires dangerous and watchful of 130.

Is your watchful over 130? If so you can find it at the end of the velocipede cycle. edited by suinicide on 3/11/2016
