I just glanced at my nightmares quality and realized that even low levels of nightmares make you twitchy or sleepless. Since I almost always have at least a low level of menaces, and I assume most players do, the population of Fallen London must be quite a sight. Imagine hordes of amnesiacs covered in purple and blue blotches. They all jump at the slightest noise and are covered in unexplained gashes. Imagine a high society party full of paranoid guests, bags under all of their eyes nervously glancing around the room and constantly dozing off.
