Lowbie question -- A Kin Eyed Lapidary keeps asking for all my glim. I keep giving it to her but she keeps asking for more. I'm kind of hating her now and just want to tell her to get lost. Is there a big reward for this or some interesting story later or will she just keep taking more glim?

The Bejewelled Cane she gives is actually quite handy, since it grants +2 Persuassive, -2 Shadowy, and most importantly, -1 Nightmares. Though you'll have to give her something more valuable than glim before you finish.

Thanks. I guess I'll just have to keep giving it to her... hopefully not for too long. And the "something more valuable" part is worrying me now.

It's not really that bad, just somewhat hard to find if you don't know where to look. Ah, but the looking is the fun part, isn't it.

for the "something more valuable", it is indeed quite annoying to obtain IMO, at least at medium levels...

On the flip side, it's dead easy to find at high levels, and it's one of the few things that can be transferred between players. So if you have problems finding what you need for the final stage, you can try asking someone who's hit PoSI.

Personally, I'd appreciate the result taking up a permanent space in my Weapons bar more if it did just one more point of Persuasive.

She doesn't abandon you for too long if you have to delay in providing the glim. *spoiler* The Wolfstack docks are an excellent place to find a supply. For the items she wants later, a visit to Mahogany Hall will assist in providing some and several opportunities provide the others. If you have the Fate, a few glorious days at the mushroom races (I recommend 40+ in your watchful at the least) is an excellent source (and a delicious amount of fun!) */spoilers*

I greatly enjoy meeting delicious new friends and participating in deliciously exciting new adventures! Please feel free to drop a card to meet for dinner, exchange favors, give an interview, or any other activity that comes to mind. I DO particpate in exchanges requiring Fate, BUT you must contact me first; twitter, facebook, or here on the forums via PM.
Note: I am currently exchanging parcels with a large number of dear friends and my parcel opportunities are rare. I am always willing to exchange but your rate of return may be rather slow. To find others to exchange with I recommend the Starveling list.

Aye, it's slightly unfortunate that it's actually worse than the Irresistible Drum in raw Persuasiveness.

Well, even if you don't use the item, it's worthwhile to remove her cards from your deck at least.

Also the option to knock off two or more levels of Nightmares when you are in A State of Some Confusion or The Mirror-Marches isn't really a bad thing.
-- News in the Neath: Noted citizen of Fallen London, Abraham Bounty, has acquired six hundred and sixty six souls. Additionally rumour has it that the lion's share of those souls was from a theft of The Brass Embasy itself. We are quite certain that this portents nothing ominous for him. Well, nothing unusually ominous anyway.

By the way, what's the Action that allows to transfer Glim? I don't know of any :s edited by streetfelineblue on 2/5/2012

I was referring to the "something more valuable" that's needed to get the final reward. By which I mean the Diamonds, Sapphires and Venom-Rubies.

Are there any suggestions out there on the venom-rubies?

The best way to get venom-rubies before becoming a PoSI is to go shroom-hopping. I mustn't say any more than that.

Well, they can be snagged from quite a few places actually. Robbing the Duchess's jewelry box, if I remember right? And the Labyrinth of Tigers has Mr. Stones's shop, which gives either diamonds or sapphires when visited.

If you have both the Ruthless Henchman and the Alluring Accomplice it'll give you an opportunity card where you can get 10 diamonds a turn. Well worth spending the money on them in the long run.
