Two second chances required?

Doing an expedition in the forgotten quarter, and i see this

A buccaneering approach requires TWO sudden insights? Since when, why? Does it still consume the supplies twice when you retry?

It's part of the second chances revamp. Every time you use a second chance on a story and don't succeed but perhaps not out instead of continuing on to a result, the price in second chances will increase by one until you reach a conclusion on the story either success or failure. At that point the second chance price resets to 0. And yes it eats your supplies twice. It's not supposed to but it's a known bug in the back log of bugs to be fixed.

While it may be confusing to some here, if you spend a SC on one of those options but not the others, the other risks still take the base SC amount (often 1) but the one you spent and then did "perhaps not" will exponentially increase (so the next time often is two SC) until you succeed or fail in that check.
But the ones offered in a multiple option not checked before still are unaffected once again. However, if you use a SC on them and "perhaps not" back out, the same thing happens. You could theoretically have three running SC tallies of differing amounts here.

This was a good change, but I do miss cheesing the Premises at the Bazaar card. Especially now that a river of blood explodes out of my mouth every time I try a Persuasive challenge.
That's how I interpret the results of my foolish river-slurping on the Elder Continent. If you don't think that's what happened, just listen to my evide—BLARRRAGH.

I wouldn't hold my breath. If it's fixed in 2016 I'll be shocked :P

Out of curiosity, NiteBrite, what other outstanding bugs/issues are you waiting for?
