Apparently the Midnighters are into farming now! Here's a Benthic researcher visiting one of their Home Comforts.

Theories abound on why Midnighters are converting their guns into plowshares. Did the Bazaar provide inadequate payment? Is the Game going into a more agricultural approach in the Surface? Are they farming new varieties of Blemmigans?
Real Science stuff:
Basically this pinkish light is the most cost-efficient way of providing much needed red and blue light to plants. Given that LED's emit less heat that other means of lighting, farmers can more comfortably place those light sources closer to their crops.

There is also this: Underground farm built in tunnels 12 storeys beneath london.

Maybe the light lets them forget that it's not yet time to grow. You know what, I think I'll expose a Deshrieked Mandrake to irrigo. For science of course.

Hey, we can do that here. We can power those farms with glorious and environment friendly viric energy. Mr.Fires provides incentives to Coal neutral industries

Your are all confused. You are seeing regular indoor gardens, nothing special. Have a seat. Let me get the information behind my Shrine here...
It's all explained here on this pamphlet (which is not laced with Irrigo whatsoever.) Look closely at that last section...you are seeing everything is fine...perfectly normal. Thank you for that confession. [the truthseeker telegraphs. Begin: we have a Code 49, stop. Repeat, code 49, stop. End.]
[OOC Midnighters became what's known today as agencies like the NSA but even more secret? Preposterous! Just read about all the evidence how we only have normal Clandestine Agencies in this Pamphlet. And let me pull out my Reading Light that inspired the Men in Black Movies.... ] edited by the truthseeker on 1/31/2016

@truthseeker: Doctor Mid-Nite, I presume? ;P
-- Rupho Schartenhauer has killed a Master, well: most of it. Cortez the Killer has killed a Master, definitely. Deepdelver has become the progenitor of London's brightest star. It's... complicated. Dr. Kvirkvelia, gone NORTH on 23/12/1894.
