I've had fairly low C: Revolutionaries most of my time in FL, hovering around 25 or so. Hallowmas pushed that to 150. Ah well, waiting many months to enter the Nadir wouldn't be worth not spending one week on grinding skulls.

It isn't in the Nadir - before you first enter you are asked for a Ray-drenched Cinder and there are a number of options to get one. One of those is Fate and that gives you the Robe.
If you have already entered the Nadir Robes are only available from getting a Master to clear your path when it is Snowbound.

Well I suppose I do have a habit of hoarding, and I also tend to advocate the idea of non-attachment when needed. I sold a lot to get the 400 echoes, but at the end of the day it didn't make much of a difference. I sell things I'll need in the future and worry about the problems that will create later, but if you're smart and patient, yeah, that's definitely the best choice.
