Hi I'm new to this game series, but who are the good guys to root for? Is it the police and military?

Nobody. Everyone is horrible in their own, twisted and unique, ways.

Likewise almost everyone has some virtue to them, albeit often hidden and conditional.

I'm sorry, but due to policy clarifications, I will no longer be giving detailed mechanics advice on the forums.

You can root for yourself, at least.

Please do not send SMEN, cat boxes, or Affluent Reporter requests. All other social actions are welcome.

Are you a Scarlet Saint? Send a message my way to be added to the list.

Alternatively: You! Root for yourself and declare your choices to be always the "right" ones. It's a bit arrogant and self-absorbed, but effective.

Saevitia's profile and appearance! [Gone NORTH]

Now playing Esméralda, Saevitia's former helmswoman and moralistic Campaigner; she looks like this.

I'm usually up for RP. Social actions are generally accepted; those with in-character RP invitations are most likely to be reciprocated.

What did the Docks do to be horrible? I mean, they're not really good, but I wouldn't go nearly as far as horrible.

A gentleman seeking the liberation of knowledge, with a penchant for violence.
RIP suinicide, stuck in a well. Still has it under control.

I'm with suincide here... well Mr. Savage is for sure. The dockers are toiling for the gain of others, yet all they hear about is the pain of the tomb-colonists as they head out... fie, I say!

I seem to recall them wanting me to help them murder clay men coming in on ships...that's pretty evil.

I root for the Rubberies, of course.... but I can't help but use them for my gain. Sad that

And I named my Parabolean Kitten "Sparkles." So I hope that suits you.

Everyone has their own agenda. Further complicating matters, most of the factions have sub-factions, with competing agendas. For instance, 'Constables' covers both the traditional police and the secret police. 'The Docks' reaches from lowly labourers to exalted admirals. 'The Church' covers all varieties of Christian faith, from the mild to the militant. Ultimately, you have to follow your own conscience.

The question of the strikebreakers is a tricky one. It's not the Clay Men's fault that they're being used as scabs, but good intentions don't put bread on the dockers' tables. At the same time, the Masters aren't importing Clay Men for any selfless reason - only because they're easier to exploit than human workers.

(the truthseeker) If you want to not feel any guilt I suggest getting rid of your soul. Be important and make the price count!

Then it won't bother you everybody is corrupting everything for their own means. Except me. But I do horrible thins just to keep the city from being lost. You wouldn't understand. You haven't seen what they will do to Paris....

I guess bohemians are an ok lot. You can't count drinking and debauchery as horrible behaviour smile
