Hello gentlebeings,
I treated myself to a nice tattoo of the sun last year. Now I can't seem to get a second tattoo, because I still happen to have "A recent visit to Millicent's parlour" What is wrong here?

This feels like a stupid question, but it's my first year participating in the Feast. A friend told me they'd sent me a gift, but I don't see it showing up anywhere?
How will I know I've been sent a gift / how do I accept a Rose-gift?

As far as I can see so far, this is still 99% accurate, so I'll bump it as a good starter for complete newbies!

And, of course, for those like myself who tend to have the memory of a sieve. Thank you!

A warning: the option to send a Heartwood Hearse currently doesn't give the Hearse to the sender if declined. I already verified that the trick still works for the old options.

I tried today, in early afternoon in europe, and the tanned masked and the golden rosary where sent back to me when declined.

Hello fellow Gentlepeople. I am currently struggling with this event as it is my first and I have only just begun playing. Are there any ways to grind for the required materials for gifts? And if so how? Thank you for reading.

No Fate refund. I'm assuming it's a bug and will post again once I hear back from support.

I've updated a couple of things for 2017.
Please comment and add to anything you see, want added or, especially, strategies you recommend to newer players.

20 echoes (from selling random items) is enough to purchase 500 cryptic clues at the bazaar for a glass of teeth, although that is quite a hefty sum for one who is just starting out.
Another method would be to go mudlarking at Ladybones Road (15 wines on successful) and convert the wines to Prisoner's Honey at the Honey Dens of Veilgarden. This nets 40 drops of honey per 50 wines which will eventually go to either the Singed Playing Card or the Fungal-Themed Poetry (if you decide to upconvert the honey).
I hope this helped, at least a bit. :/

I've heard back from support. The invitation declining trick should now work for the Hearse as normal.

Go to the Perfumed Pleasure Garden and ride the Wheel of Affection for 10 romantic notions on luck check. No stat check, very good return for beginners.
FBG is pretty kind in usually providing a means to get what one needs for special events.

I just lost my Lady in Lilac card I was saving, and now I can access both the "An Encounter at the Feast," and "The Lady in Lilac" storylets from anywhere. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yes. I think it happened this way last year (I wasn't playing yet, but that's what I hear.)

-- Hieronymus Drake: Gentleman scholar, big-game hunter, scar-faced aristocrat. Remarkably sane, all things considered. Tanith Wyrmwood: Longshanks cat-burglar; Bohemian author; now, perhaps, something more. Bubbly, expressive, and affectionate. It’s not only still waters that run deep. Telemachia Lee: Gentle lady by birth, brawling Docker by choice. Good company in the drunk tank.

Oh, cool. That way you don't have to draw the cards. Failbetter really is good to their playerbase.
