Is it possible to reset the Jack-of-Knives story?

I'd reached the point where I need to chose whether to continue tracking jack down using traditional means or to try and "become" him and see through his eyes. I was holding off to get more fate and pick the second option when I'm able, but today I accidentaly miscliked and picked the first one, which greatly upset me. Is it possible to reset this storyline later in the future, or am I stuck with this option now?

Once you finish it you can reset the case at your lodgings, but it costs 20 fate to do so.
Sorry that happened to you. Misclicks can be so frustrating.

You can try sending a message to support, they may reset it back since it's a matter of fate(AKA, real life money).
