I suspect the reason is that Mr Sacks is supposed to feel luck-based and annoying.

Random and surprising, which amounts to the same thing.

Mr Sacks has not shown up for me since Day 4, and I've been drawing my entire Opportunity Deck rather frequently. Has something happened?

Sacks has a schedule of being 2 days late for me. So annoying! At least it's consistent though.

Consistently late is an Oxymoron (and that is a paradoxical thing, not the title of somebody form the 'Neath...well, not yet.)

Its not actually an oxymoron, if one arrives late by the same amount of time everytime, he is still late. "Consistently unpredictable" is an oxymoron.

Thought about that yesterday. Even consistently unpredictable is not an oxymoron. You can always be surprised by one's actions, even if you are trying to prepare yourself, thinking you know this time he/she will be unpredictable. Actually, you need not be surprised.

A die is consistently unpredictable (even if you know the range, you cannot predict the next throw).

@Gonen: "dice" is plural. The singular is "die." One of many grammar factoids ruined by gaming.
"Consistently inconsistent" would be an oxymoron.

What I've never been able to figure is why the plural of "mouse" is "mice," but for "house" it's "houses," not "hice." Both are derived through ME from OG roots. I can only conclude it is because they are of different gender (Maus is feminine, Haus is neuter).

Well, its surprisingly hard to find oxymorons. Even boiling ice, the classical example, is actually possible. Even a damn "constant variable" is possible! Big Grin

Other than what one option gives...I don't see that many things that say it was "it", can anyone explain?(Without using (REDACTED), if possible).

(Ironically, if you expected HIM to show up on day 7, he did not That's another day.)

It's difficult to say what is and is not shared, so what I can do is link to this old post , and note those who are looking for a Name seek certain Terminology. Being that we had Sacks show up in Sunless Sea, I've decided to gibe a very esoteric hint, suggesting the answer is known when you scream at the top of your Lungs in exceptionally old English. You may pray for guidance on this if you need more, but I will still answer no in English or German here if you insist.
