The twenty-fourth box on the advent calendar simply brings a tear to my eye. This being my first year really playing Fallen London, I really enjoyed the whole advent-calendar thing. It was a great way to count down the days until Christmas, Sackmas, Neathmas, and even - dare I say - Ratmas. However, that is not the main focus of why I am writing this. The true reason is this: The twenty-fourth box finally provided me with boots that increase Watchful, in this case being the Meticulously Altered Stockings.
Now, the reason I am so happy about this is because I picked the Unobtrusive Bowler Hat when the Mysterious Benefactor came 'round, so until now I had no way of increasing my Watchful quality through boots.
THANK YOU FAILBETTER GAMES, AND A MERRY WHATEVER-MAS TO ALL! edited by Xane Al-Rahibi on 12/24/2015

"Do you recall how we came to that place? And they sang of their lightnings and shapeful disgrace? And we tilted our vanes and ennobled our spires. They welcomed us then and commingled all choirs. And not enough, not enough. Still It mourns, and still waits the Sun."You now have 1 x Meticulously Altered Stocking And I look forward to another legendary "delicious" item three years running tomorrow!
It's hard to believe it's only been 14 months for me! (And now as a player, I even understand that quote about "it" longing for their Sun all too well.)
Indeed, Thank you Failbetter for your great game and great stuff (yes, and great rare items too,) but most importantly, your great storytelling meticulously crafted!
Merry Christmas to everybody at Failbetter and to all who play here!

This is my third Christmas playing Fallen London and I'm still a bit bitter that I missed the first Advent Calendar due to ignorance.
I would have loved a second Rat of Glory and Silent Soul.
