Anti-candles seem to have been eradicated from the game at long last. may we light a non-existent candle to mourn their passing. correct me if i'm wrong, though.

well, i sent someone an invite to get anti-candles from the museum of mistakes, and they didn't get any. If you want, i could send you an invite so you could see for yourself.

Don't you have to pull a card to rob the museum?

Nope. It starts with a quite pricey social action (400 cryptic clues up front.), and is a bit of progress-bar grinding before turning it in. it returns otherwise poor rewards, save how it returns first city coins. the epa is areound .6 though.

Quite frankly, the only thing worth doing it for was text or anti-candles and now anticandles seem to have been removed. (well, if you were truly desperate for 1st city coins, i suppose.)

  • When lit, an anti-candle sheds darkness. In-game they function just like Hastily Scrawled Warning Notes. They can only be found in the Museum of Mistakes.

    Goodbye "Darkness Seen"
Though I barely knew you at all
You had the Shadowy to hold yourself
    While those around you sprawled
They sprawled out of the museum
And they whispered of your Ways
    They set you on Heists
And they made you end your Days

And it seems to me you lived your dark life
Like an Anti-candle in the Wax-wind
Never knowing whom to unshine to
    When the Lacre set in
And I would have liked to know you better
But I was just newly arrived kid
Your Anti-candles burned out long before
    The Warning Notes ever did

    Loneliness is tough
The toughest role Captains ever played
    Slowcakes created superstars
And pain was the price you paid
    Even when you died
Oh, the Journalists hounded you like before
But all the Newspapers had to say
Was that Anti-Candles were no more

And it seems to me you lived your dark life
Like an Anti-candle in the Wax-wind
Never knowing whom to unshine to
    When the Lacre set in
And I would have liked to know you better
But I was just newly arrived kid

Your Anti-candles burned out long before

    Goodbye "Darkness Seen"
Though I barely knew you at all
You had the Shadowy to hold yourself
    While those around you sprawled
    Goodbye "Darkness Seen"
From the Midnighter in the twenty Second Spire
Who sees you as something more than "Dark"
    More than just "Anti-Fire."

And it seems to me you lived your dark life
Like an Anti-candle in the Wax-wind
Never knowing whom to unshine to
    When the Lacre set in
And I would have liked to know you better
But I was just newly arrived kid

They...go completely insane. (Sorry to upstage my own creation but that answer was just too tempting to ignore...what are the odds Darkness, a Dark-Carapaced Crustacean and Love are so perfectly linked?
...I have No Comment on the alleged Bazaar cameo at the end. Big Grin )

    This makes me bitterly sad.

DragonRidingSorceress is an Author of good standing. Mostly good standing. She's happy to accept any social action except Photographer and Loitering, but requests warnings before duping/poisoning/etc.

Seeker of Names is a... being with an obsession. They're willing to accept all invitations.

Saw does the Museum of Mistakes award Hastily Scrawled Warning Notes instead? Or It just doesn't award any second chances at all now?

(Sorry, the last time I played the Museum Heist was with my first alt and they had the candles then, so no idea if they have HSWN there now or not)

According to my eyewitnesses, it doesn't award any second chances at all.

I would like to clarify that I have over 20 Hastily Scrawled notes, so maybe it's just capped, and didn't get any because of that. (Also I'm the eyewitness here)
