Raising Summerset when banned from the University

I got booted from Uni some time ago and have exactly zero Summerset connections to my name as a result. I've been grinding Society/Bohemian connections, and I currently have everything I need to open a Salon... except for 3 Summerset connections. I've tried googling but haven't found a totally clear answer -- is there any way to earn Summerset/Benthic connections when you're not welcome at the University? I think I might be able to get some from donating findings in the Forgotten Quarter, but that takes so many actions and also isn't a great deal either. Then again, trying to curry favor and get back into the University will probably take even longer... is there another option I'm missing?

You need to be in good standing with the University to use the Forgotten Quarter to curry favour there. The only method I know of to raise your Summerset quality without having a good standing in the University is to write a Tale of the Future in the Empress' Court. If you aren't welcome there you'll have to to go on a Voyage of Scientific Discovery and reestablish your reputation at the University using the information you collect as you explore the 3 islands. You'll need 500 of all three different kinds of notes.
