i believe Ben is referring to the fact that you should be able to buy access to Flint for 120 Fate. I don't believe it's been implemented yet. I assume later today or very soon in any case

That's not what mine said. Mine said: "If you do not have Exceptional Friendship and cannot enter the House of Chimes purchase it here - or buy a one-off pass to play Flint subscription-free."
The one-off pass refers to playing Flint, not to the House of Chimes access. It costs 120 Fate as per Alexis's post and is now live

You do not have to choose your Admitted quality in order to access Exceptional stories. You have to choose one to access the permanent House of Chimes stories about the Regretful Soldier and the Silk Expert but not the Exceptional stories

Genesis is correct, if you have Exceptional Friendship i.e. access to the house of chimes, then you can play any Exceptional Story you have unlocked there (with the two exceptions genesis noted) even if you have not picked an entry quality yet. So Ben, you should be able to go unlock the Exceptional Story without locking yourself out from a future as a Scarlet Saint
