You may see content in Spite and the Flit appearing, disappearing, and changing for a while. Apologies for any inconvenience! As soon as it's all live, we'll announce it here first.

I guess FBG is conducting Thefts of Particular Storylets.

I wound up choosing to toast myself as I found the text amusing and ended up with daring 11 as a result so I'd say it worked out very well, even if I've also scandalized the footpad.
Thanks to everyone who responded! Your help was greatly appreciated.

Typo in level 7 of A Name Whispered in Darkness: "You[sic] name is steeped in shadow!" EDIT: The text has changed completely.
In a totally different vein, the new quality "You Make Your Toasts To" is much appreciated! I like being able to side with the Topsy King. edited by Travers on 11/10/2015

That toast option seems to come very early in the Tracker ... are new players going to know anything about the Widow or Topsy King? The options for the Widow in Spite seem to need A Name Whispered in Darkness 3 and the Topsy King is in the Flit ... both after this stage. They might have come across the Cheery Man if they have been to Watchmakers Hill or met the Last Constable.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Unsurprisingly, I chose the Cheery Man:

I've always had a soft spot for Tristam Bagley (aka the Topsy King), so it was he I toasted to:

This should be interesting. Shadowy was easily the most disjointed of the qualities before.

If we enter before the Flit Heists, will progress demand we do one of every kind of Heist? That could be gruelling so I'm reconsidering the 'memory lane' option carefully.
I doubt it, if you enter at "secured access to the flit" you keep your Master Thief quality.

Now I'm imagining that the last tier will be so shadowy that you'll practically be puking irrigo all over the place. 'A Name Wrapped in Irrigo' doesn't sound half bad, actually.

I'm looking forward to this, especially since my character is not yet ready for Mahogany Hall, and it would be nice if the story provided cheaper access when he is!

I chose the Gracious Widow. I really like the Silver Tree so I guess it's actually a toast for the Fourth City.

Trying to worm your way in when toasting raised my Daring from 8 to 9 and lowered my Subtle from 10 to 9. Also most where not very impressed I did that, though the Topsy King did call me a frisky goden. It sounded like a good thing.
My character is also being true to himself, trying to be a good guy.

I was only at the Heists level, and Shadowy is my lowest quality, so I picked the bottom option to raise my stats a bit and remember what I was doing four months ago. It has its rewards; that reference by the "journalists" to Mr Pages had sailed right over my head the first time round.
The toast did trouble me somewhat, but eventually I chose the Topsy King, because I like him and it was the option most compatible with the direction I want to take my character (steadfast, melancholy, subtle and perhaps increasingly austere, though I've been going back and forth on that one). The Cheery Man was off the table anyway, considering that I've sided with the Last Constable.
-- The Duke of Waltham welcomes requests for assistance from those troubled by menaces, and His Grace's townhouse is always open to visitors who will not attempt to steal the silverware or extract support for yet another ill-advised scheme concerning photographers.

They might have come across the Cheery Man if they have been to Watchmakers Hill or met the Last Constable. I doubt they would have, but from what I've heard, that's not a problem, if the developers give clear summaries on how the little criminals see each of them. It sounds like it's minor, small-time criminals toasting to the greats. if there's a sufficient summary of what each does, or is known for, that'd be good enough edited by Grenem on 11/11/2015
