Wait, did I miss the rubbery option on a day? I was being so careful to find it! DX

It's Day 4. The Fate story options always appear on Day 4, all in a bunch.

Oh no, i thought they meant I had accidently skipped the day after with that option. Which I'm not even sure is out yet then. (And just makes me more curious what the reward is if Phryne knows it)

Ah. I didn't realise this was a continuation of that whole bit. I wrongly assumed it was an entirely fresh question. Sorry about that.

For those who picked rubbery, todays (I think it's todays anyway) card has the rubbery advancement option. Or at least a option regarding the rubbery pick, not sure it advanced anything.
I played it; I got nothing. Silas is a poor fellow, and has little to spare for a Rubbery soul. Hence why he's out with his fur robe and sack.
I'm surprised that today's option (Day 9) doesn't appear to have anything for the Rubbery Sacksmas. You'd think that a Sacks who outright offers you gifts would be the perfect Master to ask for a gift for your rubbery friend, no matter how badly it would likely end for the poor octoperson.

Maybe the rubbery man was just not there? i always got the feeling that that particular sacks comes about in the witching hour when everyone's asleep, even rubberies. Or maybe he was never there to begin with even if he was.

The Rubbery fellow isn't just looking for presents, he's looking for the True Meaning of Christmas®. Mr Sacks IX, even if he is giving gifts and not receiving them, represents the spirit of something very different from that holiday.

I felt very, very sorry for Silas. I really wished to invite him in as a friend this year but I could not waste the rubbery conclusion. Poor chap!

That's life, I'm curious how the other Sacks' will be the 'solution' to our Rubbery friend
Tbh I'm glad, as it gave me the chance to do the fate locked option with the Rubbery enhancements

My only question for Day 8 of Mr Sacks is this: why? I'm all for adding story and flavor text to Fate options, but it feels odd to add a Fate purchase to Day 4 that opens an option with no benefit on a card that could otherwise be used to increase the ToL quality. I assume we'll get another option later on that will give us a boost to ToL that we can spend at the Wicket to continue the storyline, but considering none of the other choices that cost 12 Fate have an additional "dud" option and I missed out on helping out Silas this year (his character is so rarely involved in-game, so I take what I can get), I'd be lying if I said I wasn't annoyed. It doesn't help that the option could have costed a single action or none at all, which could offer the flavor text for that day and then take you back to the card to make your actual choice. Oh well, nothing to do for it now I suppose.

I just finished the Urchins' fate option, and I cannot for the life of me figure out who the last Sacks is supposed to be. I thought they were all Masters (and one drunk showman)?

I'm camping on my Day 4 card, waiting for the rubber conclusion to be revealed. From the discussion so far I take it it's still not out yet?

You can pick up the option on day 4 for fate then do the rest of the days. make sure to keep a eye on each card options and pick any that side with the rubbery.

My problem is rather that I'm not yet sure which option I want to pick, and hence I'm waiting for the results of the rubberies.

The conclusion will be found on A Sundered Sea, when Penstock's Wicket opens on Jan 6th, just like with the other 12-Fate stories.

Ah right, of course, thanks. I should have realised that.

A new option has appeared on day 12 for those who chose the Rubbery option. It grants a very particular and superlatively festive companion (I've set it on my mantel), and it seems to replace the conclusion in Penstock's. At least, looking at Penstock's now, there seems to be no conclusion there.

This day 12 option also gives a Pail of Lacre and some Taste of Lacre, Moreover, it's a significantly more stomachable option than taking advantage of Sacks.
