Allright, I've read the rules, and while there's no forum specifically for fanart, it doesn't seem to be any rules specifically against it, so if there isn't any prohibition against fanart, this could be the thread to post it in. I got a couple of pictures to post, but I want to wait until I'm sure it is okay to post fanart.

Ah, I'm not sure if this forum is still active, but I couldn't find a better place for fanart (so please redirect me if this thread is too old to be updated!).

This is finished portrait of my character Yoannete, with background heavily inspired by official artwork, as is hopefully obvious. c:

i won't rest until this thread is necro'ed out of it's 2011 grave. I finally got approx five seconds of free time and quickly sketched out some nice and completly trustworthy london gentlemen (once-dashing-always-dashing smuggler, a variation of unbandaged feducci and cheery man); art under spoiler because horizontal pics tend to stretch the forum horribly

First of all, I believe I am owed a Golden Shovel Archeology Award for digging out this ancient thread. It's from when FL was still "echo bazaar". As good time for it to make a comeback as any, I think. I like collective art threads, and it's the only one I found.

I got stuck watching paint dry today, so I decided to spend that time productively and sketched out a commemoration art pertaining to the recent connected: society conversion. Featuring also; the DTC looking severe.

Under spoiler as to not stretch the forum (you will tear horizontal composition from my cold dead rigor mortis'd hands)

after NPCs, time has come for heretofore artistically-neglected player characters
[spoiler]

the soft-spoken surgeon. despite the Look, he's not actually a particularly bad guy. teaches medicine at the university, students like him. talented surgeon, exceptional taxidermist and decent monster-hunter, if bit rusty these days.

some outfits i did for ermine because an artist can get away with the "three piece + overcoat" combo for so long. a horrible lila-rouge dress (definitely not their colour, but seeing as people don't exactly line up to tell a 6'8 black ribbon duellist that they look like a golem made of lilac meringue, ermine remains blissfuly unaware of that), a controversially semi-formal outfit for feducci's wedding (you can tell how happy they are to be there), a rare drawing of young ermine as they were when they first came to london; a big shy kid sporting a dill-like mustache and smelling strongly of stable (how fast they grow up), a casual veilgarden outfit (if you don't have at least one hat with a feather, you're not valid as an artist), and a casual riding outfit (though given the obdurate stallion, it'd be smarter to wear a padded armour for a ride)

and a sketch of the ambition:authority, basing the physical design off the excellent kindelwyrm's delicious design that can be found here. a decent cosmic camouflage, but ruined by that blond ridge.

and here's a link to the comission i did for barse which was extra fun!! so many ropes!!.... not like that

A sketch of Elanor writing at home with Little Dorrit keeping her company:

For the amount of research I went through to try to get a true "Victorian" look, Elanor sure doesn't look like it; most fashion plates at the time portrayed clothing that I couldn't imagine people ever wearing at home when they actually had to do things other than stand still. I even gritted my teeth and laced myself down to twenty inches to try to get an idea of how a corseted figure would look from the side, but it looked just so wrong to the modern aesthetic I couldn't go through with it.

(Oh, and I'm going to exist in the world of denial where the game is currently in the year 1880 and not 1890. 1880 had such prettier dresses as opposed to 1890 where leg o' mutton sleeves actually got to the size of a leg of mutton and collars looked like their sole purpose in life was to strangle you.)

Hi guys/gals/unidentified and in-determinant genderized persons/squids,

Hate to necro a old thread, but I mentioned somewhere I'd do a rough sketch of Stormy-Eyes. Pretty bad quality since my scanner's broke and I had to resort to my phone's camera/IMGUR's editor (GIMP is acting weird and it is 1:30 AM, I'm tired).

Glad this thread exists - read through it awhile ago, but didn't have anything to post 'till now.

Alerane's pieces are sweet (so neatly drawn!), Boyd Cantigaster's Skyglass and Scarab title screen is convingingly well-designed, aethergeologist's chandelier is nice and their mirror convincing enough to be subtle (took me a bit to realize the vines weren't part of the frame), and I'm impressed by Elanor's research.

Here goes - necro'ing with my own character.

Looks like a young Fester from the Addams family, nice Cameo, I like the background details.

From the diary of Jack Owlfisher: I am writing this from the luxury of my room at the Western Tower of the Brass Embassy, and I can't help but feelnig a bit contemplative. I used to be an intellectual, y'know? I used to tour the Forgotten Quarter, looking for the secret of the Correspondence, and before that, I would anter Ladybones road, lost in some anchient volume of forgotten lore. Then something happened, and I feel more like a shadowy black cat than I do a wise owl. Somewhere along the way, I got a taste for the more carnal pleasures in life. And I wonder, have I lost something of what I used to be? Hell no! I can't believe I was such a bookworm back before I lost my soul, life is so much simplier now, and I am glad for it. I have almost gotten over the heartache from my fallen lover. Almost being the key word...

Nice shot! In my opinion, posting here shouldn't really be considered necroposting - necroposting may be bad if it resurrects an old topic nobody is interested in, but I think most forum users would eagerly accept new fanart, and it isn't the artist's fault if contributions may be few and far between (Cna't do it myself, I can barely hold a pencil to sketch a stickman T.T).
