Well, I have enough outstanding unaccepted or rejected invites that I definitely don't think I'll be making it to 1000, so I decided to bury a bunch for Scraps and exhaust my confessions exactly at this point:
JUST in case, you know... if something sevenishly sinister gets unlocked at exactly at 777 -- I've got it covered, everybody.

I can almost get 1500 SoH. If all of my remaining confessions come in I'll be at 1490. Here's to hoping there is a 1500 spirit of hallowmas reward level just so I can shake a fist a Huffam for denying me when I was so close haha.

While I did not reach 1000 this year, I did hit over 900, which considering this as my first year, I was rather proud of. So basically I came here to toot my own horn (prrrp) and to thank all of you long timers who made this possible, especially NiteBrite

I kind of wonder if I should organize mass betrayals next year. I saw people with connected the masters as high as 31 from this year alone. And like, people with 1000 spirit are basically set to get 500 spirit for the next couple years without ever needing to trust another player. I kind of wonder how far we could go in the connected the masters department if we really tried haha. Of course, there's always 2000 spirit of hallowmas to try for next year as well. Such choices, I love having such freedom to choose where we will go next in this zany adventure of cutting edge content exploration.
Who wants to follow me on an adventure? hahaha
EDIT: I need to make a correction to this post. The person told me they succeeded at gaining the Masters 31 times, but they meant 31 cp not 31 levels. So this was a misunderstanding on my part. They actually have closer to 13 levels. My apologies for the confusion.

I'll hit 1000 once I cash in my confessions. I think dov was pretty close as well.
I was wondering, would you consider expanding the scope of this thread to cover sovereigns of hallowmas as well? Getting to 500 spirit is a major achievement in itself.

According to my notes*:
- I've received 197 confession requests, and have already answered 185 of them.
- I've sent out 200 confession requests, and 138 have been answered until now.
Also, I had about 50 or so confessions from last year which I devoured (sadly, I didn't take note and don't have an exact count).
Right now, my Spirit of Hallowmas is at 541.
The remaining 12 confessions to send will bring this to 553.
Consigning the confessions I've got (plus the 6 special visitors) will get me 576 right now, with a potential of up to 824 if everyone responds.
So right now I have 1129 Spirit guaranteed, with a potential for 1377 at most.
* Sadly, my notes aren't as accurate as I tried to make them. I seem to have sent multiple requests to some people by mistake, and also I've received confessions from people I failed to note I've asked in the first place. But I believe the deviation is negligible.

Can I just say I am extremely impressed that people were able to get 1000 SoH on their first (or for all practical purposes first) Hallowmas. That's pushing the limits of possibility and I love it. It even puts you in a position where 2000 SoH wouldn't be out of the question next year, a feat I doubt even I could replicate it's so far out there. So good work, your efforts are exemplary.

I finally reached my goal of 1000 spirit (even though my initial goal was 500, first time and no experience). Thanks to Nitebrite (for organizing the list), and the community as a whole! And i really like how Estelle presented the information.

Spirit of Hallowmas: 1016. I have seven confessions I haven't dealt with yet and a dozen or so that weren't accepted yet, so I won't get much more than that. It was a pretty close call, and that was with 40 confessions from last year; kudos to anyone who managed it on their first Hallowmas.

Same, and the follow up Huffam response is really awesome too. Read the post carefully to the end for the truth.
Looking at how people reported that there was no higher reward past 500 this year, this was an amazing accomplishment regardless. There could always be next year, but this year was more than just numbers, it seems players generally voiced this was the year that really made Hallowmas a great social event, with Nitebrite's confession thread contributing especially to my own involvement. I personally couldn't have achieved my own 500 spirit goal without it and even went a bit beyond it ending at 663 Spirit. I might go for 1000 next year, but time will tell. Great job 1k Spiriters! With devouring factoring in, perhaps 2k will be within reach next year.

I'm still not sure. I have the exact same rewards from last Hallowmas, too, and yet I'm reluctant to sell anything which will take me many months to get back in exchange for some echoes which I can earn myself in a few days/weeks.
For every rare item that I have, I'm always assuming that Mr Eaten can return at any minute and will want to eat it, so I try to be prepared...

As will I, but I'm waiting to consign most of my Confessions until Sunday, that way the Confessions I accept will have plenty of time to be consigned or betrayed.

If folks want to add it to the list, I'll oblige. But, after this week, they will have something concrete to put on their mantelpiece to display that fact.
This list is, primarily, in case 1,000 Spirit of Hallowmas doesn't provide any additional reward beyond 500. That way we'll have a verifiable record of who got it done for the purposes of bragging rights.
It'll also provide a useful list of names to provide advice for next year. Maybe take some of the burden off your shoulders, NB.
I know you probably got a couple hundred asks from folks who didn't read the FAQs.
EDIT: Nope. Turns out Spirit of Hallowmas rewards cap at 500. This list shall serve as the monument to those who went crazy above and beyond.

Congratulations! I noticed, however, that you have not one but TWO Elements of Dawn. How did you manage that?
I got very lucky with the charity bundles during the migrant fundraiser! They were initially a rarer success from that.

I'll probably sell my stuff to buy more goats in the future. One can never have too many goats, and these rewards are a renewable resource. My rule of thumb is if you can grind a new copy of an item in a year or less, then it's safe to sell in exchange for goats.
