Only the quirk-polisher part does that.
The "trade in favours for renown and quirk" does the opposite: +subtle, -forceful.

Perhaps you do, but if you don't care about Forceful it will always be a good steady source for you to break the 10-11 zone.
As for Daring, you just missed by a month or two. There used to be a simple storylet at the spite, but folks say it does not work anymore and capped now (Burgle a Glim assayer's office). No other repeatable source to break the 10-11 Daring zone I'm afraid.
There was a time I wanted to check the "Return a treasure to the urchins" (become closest to Urchins) but I was told about the better Glim assayer's office, back when it worked. Maybe you should check the option out. Warning: it DOES lowers Melancholy (though there are repeatable ways to raise Melancholy above 10).

I don't even have the Glim assayer's office story let visible, as far as I can tell (perhaps I have outgrown it?). Don't care about - indeed, would welcome - loss of any Melancholy for this char smile.

The Glim Assayer is airs dependent and one of the options that turn up in Opportunism in Spite.

The loss of melancholy is at the option to be closets to Urchins. I would like to stress that it is unknown whether it will raise daring beyond 10 (at least - unknown to wiki). If you find out, we would love an update on the matter.
And as said, Glim assayer's office is irrelevant for gaining daring above 10.

Is it possible to raise your daring above 10 by gambling for silver and getting the rare success if you have Heart's desire ambition and you sell your first city coins to have less than 77? Wiki doesn't say if there is a cap, I also don't need daring since I increased it while it was possible and im farming shadowy to get to 250 to plant a pin on a judge so I need my actions to increase shadowy.

Steadfast increase from the success for Courier for the Dead capped at 4 (the failure is also capped) so this is not a 10+ source.

Has there been any new developments as to how to break the 10 - 12 dead zone on Daring? A see many ways to boost Daring with connection items, but they all require a minimum of 12, and I can find nothing that breaches 10.

Check the special edition newspapers, I'm getting notice that I'm now getting quirk (but not because I'm capped at 15) for my 104 page reliable.

The other 2 editions might have daring, but I'm doubting it.

If you're getting a notice right now that a quirk hasn't changed because it's higher than 14, that doesn't necessarily mean the option will raise that quirk through 14. Right now the "X quality hasn't changed because it's higher than Y" messages are a little buggy and display (X-1) for Y. For example, with the glim-assayer option above capped at Daring 5, a player with Daring 10 would see "Daring hasn't increased because it's higher than 9".

So is that a current "no" on breaching Daring 10 then? Pretty sure newspapers don't give daring unless they changed that quite recently. Does anyone even know of any fate option? I know that currently the Dante's Grill during Feast of the Exceptional Rose is the ONLY way I can cross the 10 Hedonism gap (I once successfully got Scarlet Saint, then blew it all with an unfortunate misclick involving my lips and a certain counterfeit head.

Playing through Flint offers a possible reward of setting one quirk to 14, while entirely consuming the "opposite" quirk.

I think they actually fixed that sometime during this week.
