My alt, August, has already used up his six confession requests, and is reduced to hoping he'll be sent offers instead. But that's no reason to leave him sitting idle in the holiday season! So here's an idea.
Anyone with 3 Wounds is eligible to receive the "Poison an acquaintance" social action, which grants ~10CP of wounds for a single action on the receiver's part. This could be quite helpful for anyone minding their actions at this busy time. If anyone would like a nice poisoning, courtesy of August, leave a message here (or contact him directly). He's more than happy to shell out for the poison, and he doesn't require any compensation (although if anyone wanted to send him a starveling cat to keep, he certainly wouldn't turn it away!)
There is no limit to the number of times you can ask for poisoning. Go ahead; it'll weigh heavy on his conscience, but suffering builds moral character!
EDIT: Thanks to Vopel, we now have a handy google doc where you can register your poison/duping needs. FIRE AT WILL, WE'RE READY FOR YOU.

Poisonings have just been sent out to Kaigen, Gonen, Speethling and Zantumall (thank you for the cat!!) Malthaussen, thanks for helping out! We should start a business!
Note: I'll send poisonings to everyone who applies, but I don't have access to FL while at work, and I run off Japan time, whatever that is. So you might have to wait a few hours! But all poisonings will be delivered, as requested.

AAAAAAAND that's a wrap, volunteers! Hallowmas is over, which means the Charitable Soup placewherefoodisprepared is closing down for the year!
Laughs were had, terrible poetry was attempted, puns were used and abused (lastcorn, I am so sorry. You could almost call me corntrite) and a fair few people got to experience the joys of our famous mercury minestrone and strychnine 'beef' stew! The cyanide 'chicken' noodle also remained popular as ever, I am pleased to say. We even branched out our services to include scandal-inducing consommés and bisques; I am personally very proud of the blemmigan beak broth, whose hallucinogenic properties caused many an awkward public humiliation! (I've put it down on the menu as Luxuriant Sensational Demi-Glace, or LSD for short. Very effective stuff. We must be sure to offer it next year as well).
Corngratulations everyone on all your hard work. I think the greatest pleasure for me was making the discovery that I was having just as much Hallowmas fun sending out menaces as August, as I was sending out confession requests as Kivrin. Which is magical when you think about it; we managed to enjoy the holiday in a way that was never originally intended- by menacing as many people as possible!
Thank you everyone who participated. I've had the most fantastic time, and I hope you all have too! Now let's close the shutters on our little placewherefoodisprepared,noMalIdon'tmeantakeout,webrewourownhere and go grind some Night Whispers for Christmas.
(P.S. I'm a little relieved things wound down when they did, as August was running short of puns. I didn't think it would ever happen, but he appears quite verbally cornstipated. How disgraceful).

[music=StarWars] The Great Hallowmas Confession Acceptance Rush is drawing close. Londoners of high standing with tons of invitations piling up on their tables are in constant demand of actual sins to confess. In these uneasy times a group of people selflessly distributes their poison to fulfil this demand. [/music]
In this situation there is a high risk of messing things up, leaving people under- or oversupplied, both of which are counterproductive. I propose to organise it as follows.
You can sign up for constant supply of wounds and scandal.
How to use it.
- You can add yourself as a supplier in the format [name], [number of actions PER DAY you can spend on menaces] and start a numbered list below. Example: Ergs can spend all of his actions on sending menaces, he sleeps for 8 hours iRL and has one candle (not an exceptional friend). This will give him 16(hours he doesn't sleep) *6(actions per hour)+20 (full candle in the morning)~=116 (actions per day he can spend on menaces). His entry will look like: Ergs, 116, [profile - optional], [numbered list from the next line].
- Those who need menaces should add themselves to a list corresponding to one of the suppliers and specify how many menaces you need per day. The form: [name], [menaces], [profile]. Example: Vopel, 29 Wounds, [profile link]. See below for examples of calculating menaces per day.
- You should add yourself to list of a supplier who has not reached his capacity limit. Example: if Ergs can spend 116 actions on sending poison and scandal, and his list looks like: 1. Vopel, 30 Wounds / 2. Vop, 30 Wouns / 3. Pov, 30 Scandal it means Ergs has 116-30-30-30=26 actions he does not use, and you can add yourself to his list asking for no more then 26 menaces per day. Add a new line that will look like: 4. Vopelion, 10 Wounds, 15 Scandal.
- If you are using an alt to supply your main and lending that alt's services to others, you can optionaly specify that one character in the list is MAIN. Example: Vopel, 29 Wounds, MAIN, [profile link].
- It is absolutely fine to add yourself to lists of more then one supplier.
This list is primarily designed for those who need constant supply during this week, Please, don't add yourself if you need one time portion of menaces.
How to calculed your menaces per day.
The easiest way to do it is to calculate your required menaces per 1 action or per 20 actions and multiply it by the number of action you spend confessing. The list below shows some values of required menaces per 20 actions.
- If you are confessing Whimsy and give lectures in the Forgotten Quarter to grind Suspicion, then it's 4 actions per confession and you need 5 Scandal per 20 Actions
- If you are confessing Pride, have Unaccountably Peckish around 6 and use Duchess's Salon to gain Nightmares, then it's 10 actions per 3 confessions and you need 6 Wounds per 20 Actions
- If you are confessing Pride as above but have low Unaccountably Peckish (around 2), then it's 3 actions per 1 confession (until you reach Unaccountably Peckish 6) and you need 7 Wounds per 20 Actions
- If you use a 2 Pride + 1 Whimsy combo (which I am going to use), then it's 3,22 actions per 1 confession and 4 Wounds per 20 Actions (until you run of Pride requests)
To know your menaces per day you should multiply the number from the list above by [actions per day] and divide by 20. Example: Vopel uses 2 Pride + 1 Whimsy combo, he needs 4 Wounds per 20 actions and he spends 116 actions per day. This means that he needs 4*116/20=23.2 Wouns per day. His entry will look like: Vopel, 24 Wounds (23.2 round up).
The calculation and the list above are only an example, you can use them, but you can calculate your menaces per day yourself. Cards can help sometimes, but they are reliable in that they never show up when you need them. You can change your entry if your demand changes.
Please note, that some people (including myself) are using alts to supply their main characters, and the main has top priority. If for example you recieve one less scandal dupe than you were hoping for, this might mean that this action was spent to supply the main.
Tip for suppliers. If you have several characters asking for menaces from you, every time you send menaces try to distribute them as evenly as possible among your list.
Tip for suppliers #2. Try to keep track of how many menaces you have sent whom this day. You can keep a separate spreadsheet or write numbers in the googledoc. Example: Vopel, 10/29 Wounds.
Tip for comsumers. The supply of menaces is not constant throughout the day - people need to sleep and live in different timezones. If you ask for 30 Wounds per day but have not recieved any for the last five hours, this probably means that your supplier is inactive at the moment but will send you 30 Wounds later. You can use this time to bury or betray confessions, since you'll have to do it anyway.
These tips are somewhat obvious, but I've added them nontheless.
It is first time for me organising this sort of thing and there are many things that can go wrong. If you have any ideas of how to improve this list, please post them here. And your general opinion on this whole idea (useless or not).

Reave and Malthaussen's Most Excellent Charitable Soup should definitely offer scandal dupes! What with allowing Confessions of Whimsy in 4 actions! Not sure how you're going to fly scandal dupes with soup though.
Also. Could I please have as many poisonings as you can handle. I need a lot. A lot. I have. 134 or something Confessions of Pride that I need to confess to. 109 Confessions of Whimsy. But! I can't have too many invites sent to me at once or my inbox will overflow and I won't be able to accept any confessions. I'll be needing them after confession requests can't be sent anymore, that's when I'll start accepting. So what, 8 bowls of soup and 8 scandal dupes a day?

This is a great idea!.
So far I sent 140+ confessions but my inbox is still showing a non decreasing 50 pending. With the poisons I have been receiving I can send one pride confession in 4 ap instead of the 7 it was taking me.
With the dupes I can decrease the whimsy confessions from 6 to 4ap.
I hope I can finish replying to everyone and still have time to consign the confessions I received.

I would like to add my thanks to those of the president of our fine room-where-food-is-prepared to all the volunteers who pitched in to spread, uh, hmm, can't exactly call it "cheer and goodwill" now, can we? Well, anyway. The number of prominent citizens who broke 1000 or 500 spirit was doubtless increased by our concerted effort. Combined with the efforts of NiteBrite and others who organized confessions, I think we may safely say that we exceeded the expectations of the devs to no small degree. I hope next year to see again the doors of the Excellent Soup room-where-food-is-prepared flung wide to assist our fellow denizens in achieving their Hallomas dreams. With kindest regards;

Have we been able to service Jagermiastro's request for wounds at all? He seems to be ineligible, and as he has not echoed for over a year, it is difficult to tell if he is even out and about since his request.

Although our introductions were not that ideal, I would like to thank so far the concerted efforts of malthaussen, Greysil, and August Reave in their efforts in duping me! At the very least, when the opportunity presents itself, a surprise box will await you in your lodgings in due time. This thread is truly a blessing for all my whimsical confessions. You guys rock!

Yup! That fixed it! I don't need poison or betrayal right now, I'm out of actions and I still have a few dupes banked.

Kivrin, this is a super impressive initiative and you should feel awesome!
I have added myself to the google doc! ...And also an alt, who is struggling even more due to lack of EF status.
(I haven't added my other alt both because I'm unsure of etiquette, and because I think she'll be able to do this under her own power... lower level actually makes things easier.)

That's much... Simple calculation shows that you have approx. 500 actions left untill deadline (if you use all 144 actions per day and don't spend fate). If you spend 4 actions per confession you need 600 actions to confess everything + dont't forget to consign/betray... We will help you but you probably not gonna make it.
