I have no idea how to create Google docs, but it sounds like a good plan.

If I have anything to say, then please sing me for a squad that does some delicious roleplaying. I'm not very good at it, but I would like to try anyways.

    Should I care about this?

FL is all a bit overwhelming to this noob!

The Airs of London serve as a bit of a randomizer to lock and unlock certain actions. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it until you come across an action you'd like to play that is only available within a certain range of Airs of London values.

I have somehow collected 8447 Nevercold Brass Slivers without even trying (the Devils keep throwing those at me like it is going out of style), and I can't find a use for them... I don't like selling stuff, so... am I missing some sort of storylet that may have a use for these things? Maybe converting up to something useful?

In other news, I am 13 CP away from reaching 100 levels (with gear) of Persuasive!

Off the top of my head, you can exchange then for cryptic clues + Great Game connection on a card.

...I think that they removed the message that says what the Airs of London is in the scrapbook. Maybe it (along with several other useful bits of info) are only temporarily removed while they are working on updates.

Coincidentally, I sold off all my brass just before pulling the card Panthalassa speaks of. It only converts 1000 brass, though. Other than that card (which doesn't give a profit, IIRC), there are only a couple of small brass expenditures I know of (but I'm less far along than you), so I'd advise selling most of it (if you have something you'd like the cash for) and just keeping about 2k in reserve.

It doesn't, no, but you never know when you need Clues instead of the mostly useless brass slivers...also, Great Game is always nice to get, I guess. Lore, one option gives a few appalling secrets instead of connection...but whatever floats one's boat, I suppose. I'm pretty nooby, too. xD

In other news, right now I have exactly 4600 lumps of beeswax. Only 5400 to go before soul grind...sigh.

EDIT: Oh, and I don't remember where I read this, but: don't sell unless you are certain you wanna buy stuff, because generally items are more valuable than echoes--echoes are mostly just for buying stuff at the Bazaar, while items are items, even ones that don't see much use, was the reasoning, I think.

The Clues can be up-converted at a slight profit, too, so that's another plus for the conversion card. I agree about only selling stuff if you want to buy something. There are no interest-bearing instruments in FL (unlike reality!), so cash lying around is just great gobs of uselessness.

As a PoSI with little better to do, I'd be happy to volunteer my services as Sacksmas "squad leader." Compile me a list and I'll be happy to send cards to up and coming Londoners when the season arrives.

I would say consult with the wiki first. Some items are never repeatable but also completely useless, so you can sell them without guilt: see bat with attitude and, as far as i can remember, trembling amber and rubbery fossil. generally, the less it sells for, the easier it is to get more but the more useful it is. moon pearls and nevercold brass are exceptions, though there's far more uses for them then primeaval hints. on the flipside, the more it sells for, the harder it is to get more but it has less uses. primeaval hints have a use in one ambition (you need 2), one connection transfer, and an upcraft for a so-so equip... far too pricey when a scuttering squad outperforms on all counts, and doesn't count that much more then getting comparable equips for the three stats it boosts.

You should generally sell the more expensive stuff and hold onto the cheap stuff, is my opinion, at least while you need equips. afterwards, selling stuff is just a pricey-but-0-action conversion, which i use to keep my newspaper running. It's pricey, but i have a nice nest egg and nothing better to do with it.

I'd rather skip grinding out 30 echoes worth of lamp wax, if that's all the same to you. likewise, while it's a huge waste of echoes, in terms of expeditions per action, nothing trumps buying strong-backed labor, and then trading it for supplies. that's 2.5 supplies per action, which compares favorably with everything else. of course, it's also 2.7 echoes per supply, which is not an insignificant price boost.

From what I heard and experienced, Clues are everywhere that you are never in trouble from selling them. There's even a social card that gives 200x Clue each time you get it.

One way new members to the Club can further the acquaintance of others already on their contact list is to offer healing for wounds, which action has no consequences for the healer except to raise magnanimous if <5. Life in Fallen London can be dangerous at times, and a bit of healing can come in handy. Of course, one could also use the same offer to actually poison an acquaintance... but who would do such a dastardly thing?

Well, I'd be happy to join since I already know several of the people here! I'm a PoSI but, to be frank, I know little about the game, especially the holiday events because I joined this year (only done Fruits of the Zee and Hallowmas). But I'd be happy to be a part of things. Thank you for asking me, Mal!

Links in signature. Sestina is my PoSI main. Fei Xue is my alt, non-PoSI currently. I also RP quite often, if anyone is looking for that sort of thing, although to be honest I have more incoming RP than I can handle at the moment, I think!

I just reached 100 Persuasive, and I was shocked to discover that I need to now get Dangerous (my weakest skill) up to 100 to continue... Time to go to the Docks, and start punching protesters.

I have a 56% chance to succeed, so... I expect to fail 80% of the time. Healing would be appreciated.
