I'm a bit confused - wrapped up most of the storyline, but appear to have two different storylets that can close it.
The options regarding the soul and the estate of cartographer I'm sure most are familiar with. I also have anotehr storylet relatign to the Poet which apparently was triggered by my exact score for discovering events at the salon - I'm afraid that if I complete one I won't be able to access the other. The end of the story also told me I shoudl expect a visit at my lodgings, but I'm not sure if that will happen if I close these storylets - though I've turned quite a few cards at home with no visit so far. Can I safely pursue the storylets, or am I in danger of closing the otehr storylet and potentially the card draw?
Everyone who agreed to the Deviless's request gets both of those storylets. You don't have to do them in any particular order as they're both kind of epilogues. I don't believe there's actually any card unlocked for your lodgings.

Whew! That was great, especially for a spirifer character. Felt horribly short, though! Kinda like it was building up to some earth-shattering conclusion, and then it was just... cut. Still, I enjoyed it immensely.
Now, can any fellow spirifer tell me...
is there anything interesting I can actually do with the Queer Soul? I don't wanna sell it. (Actually, I think it's a missed opportunity that the Queer Soul's not a companion/pet! I feel a weird kind of attachment to it...)
What browser and Adblock extension are you using? I have an ad blocker on Chrome and it works fine for me. The one I use also lets you selectively block and unblock specific elements on a page in case it miscategorizes something. edited by Optimatum on 9/28/2015

It is probably fine to disable AdBlock on Fallen London, since the sole "ad" is for Sunless Sea and some such and not very obstructive.
A little nit-picking - I love the art for both the Deviless and the Mushroom-dude, but the card art is quite zoomed out and ends up looking like early FBG artwork instead.
On that note, I hope we will get to see them again.

Did anyone else feel like keeping the Coruscating Soul that is Salome's? I don't want to surrender it to anybody, especially not for a handful of documents.

Oh, absolutely. I held on to mine. As a Correspondent, I get a packet of documents every week anyway. Coruscating Souls, on the other hand...

If I don't already have a coruscating soul, should I obtain one now? I recently bought a room at the Brass Embassy so I'm low on infernal items.
Is there a decent outcome for those who aren't spirifers? Being a shepherd did open up a few (2?) options, but nothing very exciting.

Coruscating Souls aren't used for much but it's certainly quicker to buy one with brandy than go through the Fidgeting Writer story over and over. Plus you can turn it in for a handful of other hard-to-obtain items at the end, if you so wish.

However, going through the Fidgeting Writer story over and over does help with Making Waves, so that's a reason to do it.

Good points. I will probably grind for the brandy unless there's a good reason not to get it at the discounted rate. Plus, the next exceptional story is 4+ weeks away, so I might as well make it last.
I am enjoying the story though. It's interesting to read the comments and see the varying opinions on each month's story. It really illustrates the value of role-playing, since we can all choose to spend the most time enjoying the stories that speak to us. As annoying as I find the devils after they stole my soul, I was still interested in dealing with the deviless, which may others weren't (however, I'd also be annoyed with the abrupt ending). I believe my character would rather be famous than righteous or holy, any day... /lame reference.

Wait. The ending, for me, was in LADYBONES, not my lodgings. I was wondering where the hell it went!

Did any Shepherds
Change your mind and convince the Deviless to accept his soul
?
I've seen Spirifers mention you can get a
Queer Soul
here, but I'm wondering what happens if you select that option as a Sheperd and can't obtain it yourself. My Shepard weirdly likes devils, so I'd like to know if that option works out favorably (for anyone!)
No dice. She wasn't having it one way or the other. You get an extra option in the Salon, but no extra options there at the end.
?

Cecil, I'm curious about the rewards for these exact options as well -- would you mind terribly PMing me with what you found out, if indeed some other kind soul passed along the info?

I removed the spoilers from your post when quoting it because only one
tag works per post.
Convincing the Deviless to accept his soul and take it puts you on good terms with the Deviless and she invites you to her next Salon party. You can either go to the party or decline the invite, I went, There's no reward, little text. She's moved on and intersted in someone else's soul already.
metasynthie, I haven't gotten been messaged anything yet, but when/if I do. I'll PM you.
