OK, I know I'm late to the party on this one. During the big changeover, I was pretty busy IRL, and didn't take a lot of time to read about these choices. So, I obviously picked the wrong one. Tried the reset link, but was too late, and it was retired.
So, ho hum, choices were made, and here I am, back in Veilgarden. I am just wondering what I need to accomplish (or re-accomplish) to get back in the Palace. While I already have a thrilling short story in the Writer's Desk, I also have a Memento of Passion from my scandalous threesome in the Court. I have written a gothic romance, a tale of the future, and possibly a symphony (?) in the Court. Can't remember now.
What are the requirements in Veilgarden for me to re-open the Palace/Court, since I guess they're no longer stat-based? Which storylets do I have to check off before I can go back? This is making Society connections a major PITA.

If you've done the Writer's Desk portion of the new tracker, your next step is to become the Darling of the Ambassador's Ball (again, it was cleared when you made your choice) to open Shuttered Palace content. Opening Court after that just requires talking to the Duchess.
The previous Veilgarden steps, in case I'm misunderstanding, are: complete either the Honey-Sipping Heiress or Charming Jewel Thief seduction storyline, publish a short story at the appropriate potential (special option, I think it was potential 40, check the wiki or something).

Thanks so much, MarcMagus! I appreciate it. Sorry to sound so grumpy...I wasn't really. Just couldn't figure out the progression. Cheers!

You're welcome.
That's actually a complaint I have about the new system. For something that's supposed to give a big signpost for what to do next, the signpost is see once only at the end of the reward text for the previous step. It's a good place for it, but it's also not hard to get excited about the reward and miss it.
More to the point, though, I don't know of anywhere to go back and look at it later to be reminded what you're supposed to be doing now. A 0-cost storylet in Your Lodgings would be a big aid here, especially if all of those reward storylets had some italic text reminding people they could check back in their Lodgings if they ever forget what their next goal is.

Shouldn't that be the job of the Local Gossip? At least once you've earned the Bohemian Sculptress.
