I've just put up mine on my main character's (cathyr19355) mantelpiece. Unfortunately, the Apples of Discord were rewards for reaching a certain rank in the original version of Knife & Candle; to my knowledge, they can no longer be obtained.

Ah, a living veteran! Actually, how did the old K&C work? The huge amount of strategies I saw on the old wiki always made me curious about it.
