  • My apologies if this is not the correct forum for the posting of my insignificant drivel, but having been inspired by recent events, I feel both compelled to create something of worth and disinclined to care overly much for societal niceties. My apologies to the readers if I do offend, and to the ancient Gabriel Petrus, whose own work I have been devouring of late.

    Watchmaker’s Hill
When I did climb up on Watchmaker’s Hill
I could see the fallen city’s lights
A fearful wind was blowing, time stood still
Some horrid thing flew out of the night
The foetid beast was dreaded to observe
I came in close and I heard a voice
Standing and stretching every taut nerve
I had to listen. I had no choice.
I did not trust in the information
My rudely assaulted ears did hear
Just had to trust my imagination
My heart beating too loudly, I fear
Softly my companion said, ”Grab your things,
It's time I've come to take you home."

"Yes, I realize that projecting my internal dialogue onto my cat is probably not the healthiest way of dealing with stressful situations."
    "Meow."
"No, murder is not the answer. You always suggest that."
