Changing Destiny

Hi all!!
I would like to change my destiny and after a bit of reading it seems the only way to do that is wait until Hallowmas or Christmas. Is this correct? Is there no way to change my destiny before then or without needing A Pail of So Called Snow?

I believe you should be able to change it a little bit sooner than that, at the "Fruits of the Zee" festival, which was introduced last year at the end of August. Still a bit of a wait though.
