There's already someone with two ubergoats though from the achievements thread. Maybe the heptagoat didn't exist back then but more likely it's just more goats.

It may be wishful thinking on my part, but it seems like the more conservative estimate, that is, two ubergoats, does seem to make a bit more sense than the liberal seven. Not to mention that the grind scales in a far more linear fashion.

I'm pretty sure someone mentioned a while back that they tried it. (I forget who though ><wink

It doesn't work now either.

I figured it might just be Caprine Authority 7 that unlocks a heptagoat, so before buying all seven overgoats, I recently tried with five overgoats and an ubergoat first. Unfortunately, when the Nex option appeared on the overgoat card, I clicked too fast and accidentally bought a second ubergoat -- so be careful of that.

It's been tempting to cash in that accidental ubergoat to get the seventh without selling anything too interesting, but now that I see someone else is giving it a try, I'll wait and see what happens. :P

That's why I never bought a second Overgoat, despite planning to do so eventually. I didn't want to clutter the card with an option to get an Übergoat. But do you actually get higher Caprine Authority with more goats, even though you can equip them only one at a time?

Indeed you don't, it's only based on what you have actually equipped.

Thus the answer lies obviously in the darkest depths of haberdashery, that which devours all but the fire that burns beneath it, the mythical Überskinned Tyrolean. Made from real Übergoat!

I confess I'm interested in a sip of cider if that's still on the table. So is the heptagoat the same as Goethe's goat or am I mistaking my history?

Unless I've misunderstood the mechanism, I believe Caprine Authority from overgoats stack even when not equipped (the ubergoat's does not). That's how you get the CA 2 required to unlock the option to build an ubergoat, which you couldn't get by equipping only one.

That's not how it works. You don't need Caprine Authority 2 to get the Ubergoat, just 2 Overgoats. Stats from equippables do nothing unless they're actually equipped.

Too late at night for me. But if you do stream it I'll be happy to check out the video afterwards.

Good luck!

Nite, do you have already an overgoat card in hand "just in case"? (as it is needed for the Ubergoat perhaps it's important for the Heptagoat too?)

Of course. My plan is to buy the goats then check the card. It'd be pointless not to have the card in hand. If it comes to needing ubers I'll have to end the stream since I doubt I can draw it 6 times in one night.
