Still Losing Dreams Qualities w/Honeyed Laudanum? Messages in this topic - RSS

The past couple of times my character has gone on an unscheduled trip to a certain hotel or warped landscape, I've lost one Dreams quality each time ('The Fire Sermon' and then 'Is Someone There?'). This in spite of being in possession of 8 x Honeyed Laudanum. Since this isn't a usable item I figured its effects were automatic. Am I missing something here...?

The Honeyed Laudanum doesn't protect you in the Mirror Marches, you'd need to use the "A Familiar Scene" storylet to switch places if you want to use it. It lowers Is Someone There, but not any of the others.

Unsure about the Fire Sermon loss though; I haven't actually been to A State of Some Confusion on my character with Honeyed Laudanum since 2010 I think.

Which I suppose does make sense in in-universe logic, upon further reflection. *rimshot*

That explains the "Is Someone There" bit, then, as in that instance I remained in the Mirror-marches the entire time. But not the other incident. I'll bug log that. Thanks for clearing up the former, though.

The Mirror Marches also won't consume the Laudanum. (If it did then that's probably bug report material also, although I've been there plenty of times and never saw that happen.)
