I'm always up for a sparring bout. It'd be nice not to have to initiate (+ therefore be attacked) all the time.

OK, still no answer to my invitation, if by tonight there's nothing new I'll retire it (I don't want to risk a 2-on-1 duel yet) and issue a new one to somebody else writing in this thread I'll have available at the moment. But his time I'd try to issue a Golden Hunt, so I'll probably hop into the Iron League and then back in the Moon League as soon as possible ^^
EDIT: I just got a full hand of stabcards again, first time I discarded the last one waiting for the answer, now I think it's time to try and put them to good use ^^ I'm going back to the Iron League for a bit - time to scrape up the Parade of Victories for the Golden Hunt and I'll be back, depending on my fighting luck and the frequency of stabcards that could be quite soon. Hammond, sorry for now, I can issue another invitation if you're around when I'll be back.
EDIT 2: DAMN, the Golden Hunt'll have to wait. You know what, who minds, I'm back in. I'll wait to have some more stabcards in hand to invite someone, but if somebody wants to invite me, I'm in. Only thing, I should be quite active the next couple of days, but nearly inexistent next weekend. edited by streetfelineblue on 9/11/2013
EDIT 3: OK, invite issued to Corran. I'll keep it up the usual 2/3 days - well, since I won't be much around in the weekend, let's just check sunday. If nothing move on monday I'll probably choose another candidate, unless somebody invites me first, in which case I'll eagerly accept ^^ edited by streetfelineblue on 9/12/2013
EDIT 4: First experience was entertaining, though I got my ass handed to me :s I issued another invite but I'll be AFK in the weekend, so feel free to not accept if that's an issue. edited by streetfelineblue on 9/13/2013

Just tried my first duel and i am very rusty. Ouch! Well I haven't played for a while - distracted by new content such as archaeology, upgrading my profession and setting up an orphanage.
Guess I better try again

I hope your first experience was good enough that you will stick around; the moon league can be quite interesting.

You can bet your last dime on it! It IS possible that I'll lose my fighting spirit one day or another but for now I only see that silver medal *_*
EDIT - Yesterday I've got my first victory, but it was just a lucky draw - my quality was actually lower than the opponent's. I can't really be proud of it, but DAMN I'm happy *_* edited by streetfelineblue on 9/18/2013

I'm back playing as well. Feel free to add me as a target!

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Congratulations! But who says I play the same tactics every time?

But even changing our tactics are our tactics. WE SHALL READ EACH OTHER'S MINDS. Unless I eat your brain first.

It is something I was wondering about the whole Moon League mechanism. Isn't it a bit harsh to require a streak of three victories to even try a Golden Hunt - no less than three of which are required for the third Dinstinction of the higher orders? Given that sooner or later you have to rematch people you fought already, and that possibly are deploying good strategies as well, makes me feel like totalling a streak of no less than six victories could easily become sisyphean O_o

It's not quite that bad. You only need to win one golden hunt to get a golden hunt token thing. You don't lose this when you lose a fight. So each token is 4 wins in a row. Not 6.

No, I mean - best possible scenario to get the required three tokens is three wins to issue the first Golden Hunt, then three wins straight to get to three. Should you lose even one duel, it's back to three wins for the Parade of Vitories, meaning that every single Assassin of Assassins badge mught require a total of four duels. And any single loss before the four sends you back at house one. It seems a little taxing, especially because Moon League duels are a good deal longer than Iron League ones :s

Unless it's been changed rather recently, when you promote yourself from Iron to Moon League, you lose your form but keep any Winning Streaks you may possess. Keep this fact in mind. I know I did, and I'm of the highest Rank in my Order to show for it.

I'll think about it... Currently I'm more looking for some battle experience, until I develop a reasonably reliable strategy ^^

Taxing, maybe. But it gives you a reason to keep going. Getting an assassin of assassin's is possible, but can take a very long time. Doesn't bother me as I play each fight for fun, rather than for the end goal. Winning 4 in a row is ... a very nice bonus.
But if you're playing 'gotta catch 'em all' style, I can see why it might be frustrating. So ... don't? ;-) edited by babelfishwars on 9/18/2013
