it would be interesting if that were a subtle result of progressing or completing the Port Cecil "Extra Move" questline, but I don't know if that's actually the case.

Ah HAH! I knew we'd lose the purpleness in day-to-day writing once babelfishwars got their abominable color-prejudiced claws into you!
I can only hope that purple poetry has hidden away somewhere the color police cannot follow...

"Frivolous Image" sounds like an unusually self-aware haberdashery. Like where the tailors and dressmakers of the Set sell their satirical fashions.
