It is more effective to do that with the "Write a letter to another player" option, since the recipient doesn't have to spend an Action to accept. But it is more efficient to send messages with invites to social activities, since both Actions will then be used for something beneficial instead of being spent on merely sending a message. Well, presumably beneficial. I guess it's not beneficial at all to be invited to a private supper if you have maxed your Persuasive quality and have no need for more Confident Smiles or Making Waves. Which could certainly be the case for many people!

The confident smiles can still be useful for passing highly profitable but difficult-even-for-capped-players challenges. Of which there are at least one. Or two? Promotion to tier 4 profesion can be such challenge, iirc.

Yeah, I was thinking of someone with 800+ smiles or so, who keeps getting more of them faster than they're being used. Sometimes you can actually have enough of something, even if it's still useful.

Oh, fresh blood ... I mean, new citizens of this Marvelous, yet dark city. I still remember my first days down here, on the run by the law, out in the cold and alone, oh so alone.
