Personally, my interest in Fallen London just sprang back after several years off it (basically, I lost interest in Twitter and anything related to that website... but then Sunless Sea drew me back  ), so I've started again with a new account. The trouble is that pretty much none of my friends still play, which makes the social aspect a lot less exciting.
I am hoping for help in two specific matters.
1) Would anyone like to be a contact so we can send each other things?
2) I've been gone for a while... what did I miss?
