Has anybody else received this? It was a message I got in the recently section of the messages page at the same time as I received the Though shall not Muzzle the Ox message.

Edit to say I don't know why this came in spoiler text I just copy/pasted the message and can't work out how to change it.

In the revised Bible of the Neath, it is written in Proverbs: "When you lie down, your name is forgotten. In the absence of names, yea, your sleep shall be sweet." One of your contacts stumbled twice on your name yesterday. Is that why your sleep was so restful? Probably a coincidence. You now have 1 of this: 'An Earnest of Payment' Your 'Nightmares' Quality has gone!

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

I changed it last week from Watcher to Ratcatcher.

I did have very high nightmares (6+) and I don't remember having a menace quality as high when the Muzzle the Ox message arrived before.

Don't know if that helps track down why it appeared.

Yeah, got the same thing; Watcher profession though.

Maybe triggers on a high menace or something.

I just got this as well, as a Watcher, but I had Nightmare 1/Wounds 1 and no other menace. Maybe it's a rare success of sorts?

The email I got notifying of the direct message was entitled "A payment at your Lodgings! ...the Second Week". Maybe it was meant to have different bonuses each week but is only now being implemented?

I got emails (on the 11th) about a payment at my lodgings and about my falcon returning; neither were true.

Perhaps a backlog in the system so they were sent out days late?

I have been getting lots of strange mail recently - late messages, and also messages saying 'Lady Red accepted your invite!' when clearly I am Lady Red and am not the one who sent the invite smile I sent a bug report.

Hubris got an Eaten's Name invitation from himself. Hubris has never sought the Name.

We are veeery, veeery close to rolling out social acts for all SN games, and had to do a bunch of rewiring. The effects have, in some cases, ranged from 'odd' to 'surreal'. It should be tailing off now. Sorry about that!

I'd like to see what happens if someone accepts their own Tournament invite!

...I really, really don't want to see what happens if someone accepts their own Mr Eaten betrayal.

lady ciel: The formatting is the way it is because the formatting from FL was copy/pasted along with the text. (This is why it's also in a different font.) You can take it out by switching to html view (the button on the far righthand side of the formatting bar) and deleting the html tags.

[Edit to clarify potentially confusing phrasing]

Mio, a midnight, sinister, irresistible, and breathtaking lady of mysterious origins.
Calling cards, social actions, menace reduction requests, and newspaper interviews (Nemesis ambition) welcome. No boxed cats or Affluent Photographer requests please.
Other Characters:
tinyassassin, an orphan trained as an assassin, currently hunting the Vake.
Alexandre and Adriana, a pair of hedonistic twins betting their souls on the Marvellous...if they don't lose them to the devils first.

I just received a message to say that I accepted my own invitation for an interview about jewels. I must say, I had no idea I was so publicity-hungry that I would stoop to interviewing myself smile

I got a cat in a box. No sender. No message about having accepted it. I just had a message that I'd received one (which turned out to be true, although opening it revealed the usual spider).

I got the second week profession nightmare reduction which was very welcome AND I was in the tomb colonies at the time. I thought the second week reference might be because I didn't cash in last weeks due to being on a Polythreme jaunt but this one auto activated it seems.
