I'd played browser games before and found them incredibly pointless. So I was dubious. This one, though, is different. Great stuff.

Indeed, it makes me wonder what other possibilities there are in regards to a story driven browser based game using the mechanic found in Fallen London. What other mysterious lands or even worlds could we walk? What mysteries could await us. But I digress, for the time being I still have much to see around Fallen London before I dare a vacation elsewhere.

My Daughter introduced me to this diversion a week ago. She often tries to find games we can play together as many of her games make me feel sea-sick. I'm really enjoying it - perfect diversion, who needs proper meals these days...

    Dragon Age: The Last Court

I heard people talking about how the creators of The Last Court had also created another game with much deeper story and character options. So I signed up.

...I want to say tv tropes. I'm not entirely sure, but probably tv tropes. I started, left, came back when I needed a distraction, did moar research, found saint-arthur and Mr. Eaten, and the rest is - well. here.

From the extra credits episode. They had my interest already with the non-combat gaming premise, but when they started describing Echo bazaar itself I was totally sold.

Saw this post, right in the middle of exam week. Ended up gibbering in my room about cats going through mirrors and fog in alleys.
Yeah, I didn't do amazing that year.

me too, though i only tried it because there aren't a lot of good MMOs out there- I wanted something with Dawn of the Dragon's word-counts, (1-3 paragraphs of story or description per item, chapters cover questing, etc) but less grinding.
i found this, it was everything i wanted- well, not everything, but more than enough.

I too wish to say it was from TV Tropes. Not sure which article, probably something blasphemous, but now I cannot remember. That memory is lost. Lost, like so much else. Lost, though much remains.

I'm another one of the EC crowd. However back then my high school self was silly and was still a newbie at English. Thankfully nowadays I'm more capable of appreciating this adventure

Honestly can't remember, though I know it was because of a friend who hosts a podcast about LGBTQA and gender issues in sci-fi, comics, and fandoms. She didn't mention it, but somehow it made me do some kind of Google search and I ended up on a blog that mentioned FL as a great game, allowing players to choose non-gender binary characters! And here I am.

I specifically looked for the top 100 games a week ago and Fallen London was one of them. I've been in love with it ever since.

Someone on tumblr mentioned it yesterday. I thought it sounded interesting, so I checked it out and now I'm in love and slightly addicted. Funny thing is, I read The Night Circus and played the game, like some others in this thread, but I never stumbled upon this game back then.

I'm pretty sure I found it through Mr. Eaten. I was reading an article on masochistic games or anti-games or something, and Fallen London was one of the references.

And then they froze it before I even got past SMEN 4.

Came across it after watching a review about Sunless Sea by Total Biscuit on Youtube and something called the 'Fallen London' setting. Since Fallen London was free, I thought why the heck not.

3 months later and countless clicks later, it's become somewhat of an obsession... oh' dear... :P

I came across Fallen London when Sunless Sea entered Early Access last year. It has now become my daily obsession.
