I think i might have clogged up the postal system with the thousands of rats i've been sending alexis over the last week, so the postmen have to wade through rat corpses to get anything done

It'd be nice if cashing in gifts just didn't cost an action at all, really. Even if you would have to click a million times to cash in 26 gifts of scorn, it wouldn't take four hours to do

PSA: Public Service Announcement.
All of the non-fate items give 1 masquing per 10 echos, but the Painted Cat only gives 1 per 15 echos. This is MUCH less cost-effective. If looking to grind masquing, avoid drenched felines.
I'll also return any non-fates sent my way (or something of equal value), so there's that.

Do you know what I really wish we could do? Trade some of our companions from that we bought with masquing from last year's feast to increase our masquing. I'd love to trade in my Affable Spy for the Last Constable, and I don't even know where to start gaining enough masquing to upgrade my Firebrand.

Gifts of Adoration probably came from either last year's Feast or getting Intimate with some Devils. Gifts of Scorn also came from last year (i think?) or a failure on the Wheel of Adoration.
