Hmm. I don't like the idea of losing Stormy-Eyed much, but it seems that hoarding it in the first place is only meant for you to discover the Mind of the Dead God, so it doesn't actually do much other than making your gaze dark and mysterious *_* I think we should totally have some character art for that! (somebody with high Stormy-Eyed, I mean) In theory it allows you to manipulate the weather to a certain extent. Not many cards utilise this outside the Dreams. But IMHO that's still much cooler, than one time limited trip to somebodies Mind. I kinda hoped there would be a storylet, that would allow you to enchance those qualities, instead of losing them. I get why it's not feasible to become a new god of Fallen London... but still.
On a personal note, I myself have a lot of control over my dreams, and would probably be able to summon a lightning or two (if it ever occured to me to do that, alas I am not usually lucid). That's one of the reasons I would like my character to have high Dream qualities, and do not want to lose them under any circumstances. My character bought a bottle of Honeyed Lauduam during the first week of the game, and still keeps it.
Or you could treat it like a challenge to get stormy-eyed back up again. Besides, this is new content, I think. I'm not going to rule out the possibility of glorious victory amongst the thunder until the wiki or my punishment prove otherwise. In any case, once I get the Stormy-eyed card, I'll try out a rough sketch. Maybe. I'm no artist.

I would, but what's there to challenge me? I've never ever had my nightmares at 8. And that's basically the only thing I can actively do. Getting high Dreams is pure luck and takes an insane ammount of time. I mean, I am PoSI, have all the lodgings and did a fair ammount of content and my What the Thunder Said is just at 11. At this rate I think I will finish everything before I get Stormy-eyed. Especially since most of my unfinished content is ouside London. Not sure I will manage to get it twice.

Without spoilers ... play through the Mind of the Dead God content, then we'll talk. It's very saddening, in a lot of ways.

From what you all describe. I'm excited the way I am prior to John Green books, or when Joss Whedon announces a new show. It's gonna be great stuff, but man. Its gonna be dark. Still maybe optimistic. Maybe. Its a moot point since the waiting for Stormy-eyed, and building up the thunder dreams, will take a colossal amount of time. I'll probably wrap up my Newspaper grinding by then, though, which is nice. I've been at it so long I forgot why the truth matters to London. edited by friendshipranger on 1/30/2013

Can I just say that I am unsurprised though delighted that Nerdfighteria extends here, alongside Equestria and so many other pleasant nerdy nations?

Also, since I finally hit Stormy-Eyed, I did that rough sketch I mentioned earlier. Posted it in the fan-art thread if anyone's interested/sufficiently bored.

Is it possible to get your Stormy-Eyed back after Mind of a Dead God, or does it somehow prevent you from getting it again? Because I'd like to see this for myself, but I've been waiting so long to be Stormy-Eyed I'm reluctant to part with the quality.

Leaving the Mind doesn't give you a Quality or anything that would prevent regaining Stormy-Eyed... that said, at least when I did it, it doesn't reduce your What The Thunder Said either, and I'm pretty sure mine is too high to draw the card that gives you Stormy-Eyed. *grumbles*

Really, what's the cutoff point for that card? Inquiring minds and all that.

I don't know for sure, and it could just be the RNG going against me, but the card appears at WTTS 18, and I've not seen it again at WTTS 23.

I lost all my thunder dreams on leaving, but shortly afterwards I got a card that gave me back stormy eyed at 7. So I'm wondering if you EITHER lose stormy eyed or your dreams on leaving the mind, but not both.

Methinks I should file a bug report, in that case!

It does seem a little odd that you haven't got the card to get SE again - either a bug or the RNG being very unkind, methinks!

It took me a bit to get the Stormy-Eyed card back after leaving (I didn't realize I'd lost all my Thunder dreams at the time, and they're still gone).

Did leaving the Mind give you a quality to get stormy-eyed back or did it just happen by Magic edited by Spacemarine9 on 2/1/2013

I'm not sure, because I wasn't really paying attention. I just got an opportunity card and wham! Stormy eyed at 7.
Then I got a thunder dreams card some time later, and it was only then that I realised I'd lost my progress there. So it definitely wasn't obvious to me, unless I was just really unobservant.

So I'm wondering if you EITHER lose stormy eyed or your dreams on leaving the mind, but not both. Are you sure it happened in that order? The opportunity card to gain Stormy-Eyed has a prerequisite of What the Thunder Said 18, and causes you to lose all of that quality in exchange for Stormy-Eyed 7. It would be odd if that happened in reverse for you.
In my case, events happened as expected: I left the Mind a few days (no Stormy-Eyed left), and then pulled the opportunity card today (so now back to Stormy-Eyed 7, but no thunder dreams).
I'll admit I was kind of surprised that leaving the Mind did not give you any quality to mark that, since it seems like such an obvious end-point to the storyline.

Oh, you're probably right, Tesuji. I have no memory of how I got stormy-eyed the first time around, and I don't recall it removing my thunder dreams, but it probably did.

Hey. Just finished raising my Stormy Eyed to 25 on Mutton Island, and now I'm back in London. Where can you access the Mind of the Dead God content? Do I need to raise my dream quality more?
