You could knit a hat for a Straveling Cat.

You could find a fox with your socks. Down in Foxfire Mountain.

You could take a goat with you by boat, under his watchful gaze; Or see the Stone Pigs turning in their sleep.

But never post on Mr. Eaten; This is very good advice. Mr. Eaten will not like it - And Mr. Eaten isn’t nice!

My character is not actually seeking the Name. As much as I want to, the action would be incompatible with how I roleplay him. But as a player... this is a fascinating read. It's a pity, that so few of the players have a chance to read these words. So beautifully written, to say nothing of the insights.

How very many spaces there are in a breath.
Look at the wick, where it burns hottest.
Sometimes, stars.
Outside, it is night.
There is an echo in my mouth, among the ashes.

To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow, creeps in this petty pace from day to day, to the last syllable of recorded time; and all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death.
Get out of here, Mr Eaten!

I was entirely unaware that Mr Eaten knew what square brackets were, let alone how message boards work smile These masters are more technologically advanced than it at first appears!

Was there a Mr. Eaten related option in the Christmas content?

Oh yes.

Alas, Asclepius Unbound is now forever beyond the reach of invitations. A successful Seeker.

Look closer, look closer, and surely you'll find, you'll surely find the Name.

I don't know him enough to say whether he's nice or not, but at the very least it seems that he's the only Masterlike being showing some kind of generosity. Oh wait, was that in rhyme? Well -

Something tonight my mind peeves:
When I'm suddenly awake
Mr Eaten comes and gives
While the Masters only take

...OK, I should probably relinquish any further attempt at rhyme fovrever T.T

Social Actions: send them to Kade Carrion (she/her; no Tournament of Lilies, please). an_ocelot has gone NORTH and cannot benefit from social actions!

Possibly-Useful Things: Spreadsheets and hints and link collections, oh my.

Well, this thread isn't disturbing at all, now is it?

@Alexander: It would appear a certain Mister has found his (its?) way onto the board. And found a number of tasty posts, if all these edited remarks are anything to go by...

A name, yes. But the masters seem to wear names lightly, and change them when convenient. I think what we seek now is the true name of the Eaten one.
Although I do find it amusing that just asking him is as useful as it is.

If anyone asked for the name, and still has that text somewhere, might they be willing to share it? The wisest way would seem to be private correspondence.

However, no private Correspondence please. I don't want my hair alight again! smile

I as well. I asked it what it desired, which turned out to be somewhat unwise, informative, but unwise, like so many things in the Neath. Those that aren't uninformative and unwise.

You could always start up a new character to Seek the Name. There's a step where you need to recruit others to the search, and there might be a few still working on this step at this time. It's what I did, since I didn't really feel that it was in character for my main to seek. ^^

Please do not send SMEN, cat boxes, or Affluent Reporter requests. All other social actions are welcome.

Are you a Scarlet Saint? Send a message my way to be added to the list.
