EDIT: as the previous Lilies thread went missing, I'll turn this into a general thread.
For those going through the Tournament of Lilies and do not have anyone to battle with, here is a list of willing combatants and any restrictions they may have on how often they're contacted.

I used to assume that to be the case, but I've lost with 18 Attending vs. someone with 10 Attending, so there is at least a healthy dollop of luck involved.

I just had a reply from Support saying that the person couldn't immediately work out was was wrong. Due to time constraints (undoubtedly due to Sunless Sea's exploding on Steam,) it will be a while until a full investigation is done on it.
They said that in the meanwhile, the requirements added to the contest invites added last week have been removed, which will hopefully restore the status quo.

I don't think the tournament is rigged so much as bugged - it never used to be like that when I first started playing. My plant was maxed out and I'd lose challenges I issued as often as I won them. Now it just seems to be a done deal that if you issue the challenge then you win, regardless of your plant's level, which surely isn't the intention.

How odd. No one on IRC could confirm, but I was just able to send a challenge to Black Bloom, who was the person I couldn't accept a challenge from earlier.
I'm definitely leaning toward a bug at this point.
EDIT: Report sent, although with Sunless Sea's success on Steam, it may be a while until they can look into this.
