Updating to note that my plant has triumphed, and is retiring from competition at least for the moment

My plant has succeeded as well, and I will retire for the time being.

Dear Sir or Madam, or Entity,
Having recently acquired an Extraordinary Plant I would be most pleased to enter into a Contest of Strength

I've never been through an entire tournament of lilies before. It seems rather interesting, but I have trouble finding people who are both interested and eligible to challenge. I'm seeking a contest of cunning. Would anyone care to accept my challenge?

Dr Octagon, I sent you an invitation to join my plant in the contest of strength quite a while back now. In case you don't know, you can accept the invitation through the MESSAGES tab.

I just started myself, and as of yet have nobody against which to test my gardening skills... The horror! I humbly submit the following profile for consideration.

Nary a moment passes and already I am challenged, delightful! It must be kismet Mr. Sebastian, as you share a name with an associate of mine from the distant past. He had a pet bivalve actually, fascinating fellow...

Edit: I have, after much botanical back-and-forth, discovered the awful truth which underlies this Tournament. And to think that it would have been unnecessary, had I but consulted the admonitions published upon page three of this very thread... I shall return later, with a plan.
Edit 2: I will no longer be participating in this farcical Tournament, unless through the scheme for the promotion of sound manners and social justice outlined here.

Interesting, although people have been able to challenge me I am prevented from challenging others. Perhaps it is something to do with my not being on Facebook or such?

Is it possible that you presently have no contacts who both possess a sufficiently developed plant and are seeking a Contest of Strength? If so, adding some more contacts from this thread should solve the problem.

It is entirely possible that you're correct, and I will invest some more effort in that area. Honestly it's a bit overwhelming how much is going on, for someone who easily loses focus like myself it's a veritable paradise of distractions... In any event I notice you were able to challenge me, but I could not reciprocate. Most mysterious.

That at least is easy to explain -- since I won the challenge, I moved on to the next stage of the Tournament. edited by Flyte on 6/21/2013

Oooooh, that makes sense... Wasn't sure how quickly one progressed. Have fun with your gardening then, I've been experiencing some success in these ventures myself lately.

I have a friend (agentbluesky) hammond whom is looking for a massive amount of duels in the tournament of lilies. If anyone would comply we would be most grateful. His plant is 12 or 13 if that matters. edited by b3llad0nna on 6/26/2013
