Cathy: could you expand on “more fun?”
I strongly like Jobs as pinned cards. It makes it something you can be consistently working towards, instead of something you have to jump into from time to time.
BTW, I dunno if it is a bug or not, but the card for Carrying a Tune 3 seems to be completely action-free. :D
EDIT: All the job cards are action-free! Bigger Grin

Oh that is an UGLY bug. To be resolved shortly.
Quick note: the Postal Express Badge now properly increases your Reputation gains from Jobs. While it’s equipped, you’ll get 1 Reputation per success on EVERY Job branch, not just a large lump sum at the end.
There are other Talismans that provide similar boosts for Styles in grind cards. Check the Bazaar for more details.
(The Pony Express Badge boost will significantly offset the Menace gains from Jobs. Other Talismans will offset the Style losses from Menace states. Choosing the right Talisman is intended to be a strategic choice during the body of a given content bloc. Once the content bloc is done, the Pony Express Badge becomes a way to smooth the Reputation grind for dedicated players interested in the big-ticket items.)
I’ve just started in on Day 2. A slight hitch – though my Location quality disappeared as it should, the Time of Day quality in the sidebar is stuck on Evening even though it’s morning. My character’s name is Zeus.
Entradicine: let’s diagnose! What are your values for:
- Date
- After Sunrise House
- A Rain is Gonna Fall
- Static
Date: May 21, 2026 - Morning
I don’t appear to have an After Sunrise House quality.
A Rain is Gonna Fail: 8
Static: 5
I have no idea what’s happened! Curious. Do you have the Intrepid Adventurer Quality?
I don’t have that quality.
I’m playing through the Sometimes deck of Rio Seco without trouble, (though no pinned cards.) Maybe things will sort themselves out when I leave? Or break even more, I guess.

That explains that: you shouldn’t have access to Day 2 yet.
Now to figure out how you got in. Did you play through Rio Seco?

My White Noise is at 3, so I still have a way to go.
Ahh, you’re in Rio Seco now. That explains. :) You’re not into Day 2 yet. Your Date Quality is a little weird because you’re caught in a tiny sliver of the population who hasn’t had their Date fixed yet. It’ll auto-correct once you get into Day 2. Everything is fine. Enjoy, and look forward to the Day 2 content going live soon!
Ah, that solves that, thanks.
I’ve been grinding the Overgoat slowly for a good few months now, so yes, something less expensive would be good :) I think having jobs pinned combined with being Chancy and the slow refresh rate works, gives a feel of getting something out of your “work”, rather than being frustrated waiting for a useful card.
So far the other issues I’ve spotted have been mentioned and fixed already - I’ve not played the last few days, but I’m back in the room now :)
Has anybody played the Mosquito Hawks content yet? I’d appreciate some eyes on it before it goes live.
I just started the Mosquito Hawk job, haven’t gone through any of the content yet. I finished the Chassidic Jew job first. At some point do these things get less chancy?
Also, is there a reason I cannot use the item I just bought for 75 reputation to lower my menace? It says to go to the Burrow & Briar to use it, but there is no card there. There was a card earlier for the Wintergreen Gum but I already used it.
Just the person I wanted to talk to! Thanks for the Tip on Humanitarian Aid! I’m curious: what motivated the tip? Something you liked especially?
Every Job has a difficulty rank. All four Jobs currently implemented are difficulty 1. Therefore all of their challenges are difficulty 1. Job challenges are tested against your Pony Express Quality. Your Pony Express Quality starts at 1. Therefore all the branches on all currently available Jobs should have a 50% chance of success.
In the very near future, we’ll open up ranks 2 and 3 of Pony Express. We haven’t decided how much each will cost in Reputation, but expect ~200 for rank 2 and somewhat more for rank 3.
Each rank, in addition to making lower-difficulty Jobs easier, will unlock additional higher-difficulty Jobs that give commensurately more Reputation. (Expect something like 55-60 for difficulty 2 Jobs.)
I can’t see any reason the Gilead Balm shouldn’t be working for you. Are you sure you checked at the Guest Room at Burrow and Briar?
I am standing in the Guest Room and the only cards I see are to leave the Guest Room or to Delete my character. When the card for the Gum was here before it was jstu in the Burrow, not the Guest Room itself. Not sure if it was meant to be in the guest room.
Side quests, jobs, and morality systems are some of my favourite things about modern RPGs. It’s really fun to see those in something I can get away with playing at work :P I cannot wait to unlock the next level of Pony Express.
I always like to tip people when I can. I had exactly 3 Nex, and there was a button for 3. There is not much else one can do with Nex, and the next time I can afford to buy Nex for Nex-locked content, that 3 Nex won’t make or break my ability to do so. I really like the story you are creating, and the Humanitarian Aid story was really neat, especially the end note about the Jewish Scholar who asked you to help all these people. His back story was just nice to be able to read ^__^
Well, I’m very pleased you liked it! :)
I have no idea why you can’t see the Gilead Balm card. So let’s diagnose. Do you have a Gilead Balm in your inventory? Are you sure the Reputation has been deducted from your sheet?
