Just an FYI: The new wounds social action is bugged. It is increasing wounds instead of decreasing them.[li]
This bug is fixed now, and there’s a thing at your lodgings that’ll let you turn Wounds into Rostygold for a brief amount of time.
Apparently other options elsewhere but I haven’t spotted any.
It seems to have been fixed now.
For those with Wounds of at least 2, please visit your Lodgings for a blue-bordered storylet of interest. It is temporary.
Other options elsewhere?! runs to search
Apparently so! A response to a bug report a friend sent about it said that there are “a few options”, one being at your Lodgings. Then again, Alexis using unclear wording? That’s never happened. Ever. Not once.
That Alexis guy? Being tricksy, foxy, or any other variant of fiendishly wily? Wouldn’t ever guess it of him!

How do I wound myself?
Drink a bathtub of laudanum? Pet a starveling cat? consume abominable salts?
Actually, that last one might be counterproductive.
Opening Boxed Cats. :-[
Naturally progressing through the Labyrinth of Tigers roughs you up something pretty, too.
gets petting :-)
There are two other options.[li]

One is an additional branch at the bottom of the ‘Offer the Boatman a Sacrifice’ card.

The other is available via the rare item that you can see, for instance, on the mantelpiece of this character .
I was wondering what had happened to the Goat of Alexisthetest. It was a compelling mystery.
I refuse to believe the Ubergoat is a real thing, though. It isn’t.

WANT.[/li][li]Oh. I’m green. Am I Alexis?

I know how you get the goat btw.
Mr Hearts gives it to you when you butcher your Overgoat as part of Ambition: Enigma.
It’s obvious, really.
The Übergoat
The goat of which Goethe wrote.
Watchful +30, Bizarre +2, Dreaded +2
[Only the goatiest strivers may attain me.]
I seriously dislike reading hints from his messages when there are none, but alexisthetest does mention "presents". Does this mean an Übergoat is available through a Surprise Package, similar to the Blemmigan Secretary? It’s probably got a Bundle of Oddities value of 10,000 and only possible through a high Fate story choice. :P
Alexisthetest has requested presents for a very long time.
I complied, of course. My presents were: thousands of rats, stabbings, a robbery.
Good presents, I think! I deserve a goat now.
oh Lor’, I don’t want to spark another bout of desperate theorising. I’ve changed my descrip, and I can assure you there are no access codes, underhand methods, social actions, briberies or anything else. Goethe’s goat is available through extant content, although the branch admittedly has pretty exacting requirements.[li]

You’re going to spark another bout of desperate theorising anyway.
Hidden branches are the work of Satan himself. Just admit it requires Ambition: Enigma 7 and we can all go home.
briberies
Not even a little one? Just an itty bitty bribe. I can probably grustle up another few thousand rats from somewhere.
Sweet. Verbally battered into submission.
They say: "Clap your hands three times and believe in hidden branches."
An invisible option till you have all the right unlock requirements… Classic Alexis!
Yeah, Spacemarine9, you obviously flooded the guy with affection. Not enough, though. Better get back to the rat floods!
Oh bother - my wounds were at 7 so I just set sail for a relaxing Zee Voyage. Maybe I should just return to London.[li]
Looking at the Ubergoat it says "Only the goatiest strivers may attain me" - maybe if you have more than one overgoat
