Hm. So if I’ve been doing whitsun for a while and have all the free hatchable companions, there’s not too much to do in Whitsun, right? I got 2 transports for free (one default, one with hapennies) and got Mr Hearts’ special feast already. I suppose I can spend fate on a bellic or sartorial augmentation (or another transport), but there’s nothing else to grind for, right? I think none of the “Breaking open eggs” options for the free eggs gives anything unique?
Well besides the eggs, this is the only time a year De Gustibus is around and thats the only source of a sealed copy of the crimson book. If you’ve played the ES that unlocks Sinning Jenny’s finishing school, you can also try for getting a gilded crustacean.
It’s worth getting duplicate companions for your Agents: at least the Kraken (PoC) and Uttermost Eel (Zeefaring), but I’m going to hatch 3 of each 3-augment companion just in case new concerns are released.
Anyone bother to get the Cumean Hydra’s Echo?
Echo for hatching:
echo for use:
To the guy who gave me a social pet (wolf), thanks. Can’t reciprocate since ha’pennies are spent.
Whitsun, besides hatching eggs, you can also publish a Whitsun edition at your newspaper printing press, do lab research on eggs, go to De Gustibus and 1) feed him eggs, 2) make/collect Hellworm cheese, 3) allow him to check on your tattoo (scar) to upgrade it.
I do enjoy smashing open eggs, get the items that are not easily available elsewhere. Refer to the wiki table.
Did an egg research with my alt, SA still zero without modifiers…
“Shapeling Arts has not changed from 0 because it’s lower than 2.” ![]()
Anyone knows how to raise Shapeling Arts at the beginning? Thorned Ribcage research? But that’s only from the Railway places, no?
These days it’s intended you cannot get your first “natural” point of Skills until certain game progression. Red Science requires the railway. Shaping Arts, if you can still get it from Thorned rib cage, might be accessible from Parabola although that may require a Whitsun pet.
Yep, and that Whitsun pet for that Parabola activity comes from Aged eggs, which require ha’pennies to acquire in this year’s Whitsun.
Never knew about this change, thanks for the info.
There is another research to make a thorned ribcage out of a normal one and an arm. You get it and a knotted humerus. Then you can use that one to get your first point and unlock all the other ways. Such as getting stabbed by the guttersnipe.
And my alt got a few human arms by smashing open partially invigorated aged eggs.
Fair. After all, now that I have 1 of everything, time to grind for 7 of everything!
Make sure to grab some extra eggs for the last days of the event!
I find it interesting that ‘all eggs will disappear’ included the one that was being incubated. I never noticed that before.
Somewhere, a Kraken is running free through the market.
I wonder what happens if the aborted egg incubation was from an egg that you acquire using a ha’penny. Do you get a refund of the ha’penny?
I had the same worry when doing the Sartorial hatching (Mesmeric Parasol) hours before Whitsun 2026 ended. Spent three ha’pennies for that. Then I remembered non-creature hatchings are instantaneous.
The final day of Whitsun should always be about breaking open eggs, shoving eggs down the mouth of De Gustibus, and maybe a few egg researches if you have the actions/time to spare.
Just remember to never grab more eggs than the number of actions required to use them.
Acquiring one egg takes an action.
Breaking or feeding untreated eggs takes an action.
Breaking a partly invigorated/enlightened egg takes two actions.
Feeding De Gustibus a fully invigorated/enlightened egg (+ one of any augmentation = 5 actions. You can only feed him two eggs each Whitsun, so 10 actions in total. Try to feed him the treated eggs after Time the Healer arrives, so your Making Waves get an easy boost.
In-universe, I suppose it probably goes to the Summer Schoolmistress’ place or the Menagerie inside the Bazaar?
