Simply put, what is the goal of either you or your character?
I have had a few on and off again goals, but the one I tend to return to the most is getting as many Mark of Credit Pages as I can. I have 42 right now. (How many do you think I will need to make a full Book Of Credit?).
I also have 22 unused Trade Secrets, mainly because I’m not really sure what I would need the money for. I don’t play as much as I used to and 22 Trade Secrets ain’t getting me that much closer to Cider or anything.
The only items I’m consciously trying to amass are Cryptic Clues and Dreadful Surmises. I also happen to have a bunch of Collated Research, which by fits right in to the library of my own.
My goal was always to hoard a bunch of stuff, but as my character and their wealth progressed I went from just hoarding money and mundane items at any cost to chasing rare, unique, and forbidden artefacts with a more magnanimous penchant - I try not to ruin lives anymore. edited by Dudebro Pyro on 8/17/2018
I’m trying to get exiled to the Colonies 77 times - I’ve been keeping careful track of how many times it’s been.
Currently, 37.
I could just use the counterfeit heads for an instant teleport…but I regard that option as ungentlemanly and unchristian. edited by Daedalus_Falk on 8/17/2018
I kinda wanted to find a new mad quest but after rediscovering a quick diversion from some time ago my new goal is to go back in time and stop myself ruining a beautiful number with a hideous 8.

Heard of this, but never had the time to look more into it.
Right now I’m just on the grind for my first overgoat and maxing out my stats. But after that I - as a revolutionary and supporter of Hell - plan on getting "Changed by the Iron Republic" to some absurd value. Have yet to decide if 77 is absurd or not and if I should simply not have fun with the game for months and go for 666 (or it’s more popular and coveted cousin 777) instead.[li] edited by lukeskylicker on 8/17/2018

Currently, I’m being boring and standard going for Poet-Laureate. It’s probably my favorite grind because I personally find the text for each work of art to be very satisfying, and it gives good rewards for rebuilding my stock of basic currencies after my first Overgoat. My Notability has already returned to 8 and I haven’t even been intentionally trying to grind it. edited by Azothi on 8/17/2018
My current LOCATION is a coincidence. My scrapbook displays a quality from the Discernment Exceptional Story. There were several uncapped qualities in that story, so I spent some time increasing them beyond the point of usefulness to check for Easter Eggs. There weren’t any, but the “Taking a View on Abstraction” quality persisted after the story was complete, so at least I have an odd trophy.
A few, actually. Other than the obvious Hesperidean Cider and Heptagoat, I’m wanting to reach 7 of every FotER non-Fate item (except for the cards and chess pieces, with 52 for the former and 32 for the latter), reach 777 Reputation: Abomination, 7 Fabulous Diamonds, 77 Magnificent Diamonds, 777 Ostentatious Diamonds, 7777 Flawed Diamonds (or more? less? I dunno), 7000 more Bottled Oblivion for a total of 7777, 7 Master’s Blood, 7 Honoured with a Statue, 50 in all Renowns, 21 Poet Laureate, and raise my newspaper qualities to their highest level. Among other things
[li]Very ambitious. It’s no 77 trade secrets (6 and a half years) but in regards to acheiveable rather than very tedious goals that is going to be very hard to top. I wish you the best of luck I can to a future 777 abomination.
It’s less than 6 years (5y and 48 weeks) plus the usual server pushes. But it’s not that bad, nor hard! About to get my 32nd so only 3 years and 24 weeks left. :)
No fun numerical play, but I’m at 3/4 on Paramount Presence. Last one is Marrow, and I’m taking the Recognition route. 50 renown is rough, though - need more Omens and Bookshops!
Before the favors/renown switch happened, I had ground my connected:bohemian up to 3000 which is probably a record. Would’ve gone higher but they capped renown, which cut that short quite effectively. I’ve still got Connected:The Duchess 864, as a side effect from that endeavor
Now I’m just grinding for the cider, but in a leisurely manner so I likely wont get there anytime soon

I am gunning for a firken of Hesperidean Cider just because it’s pretty much the most elusive achievement in the game I have yet to have within easy reach that also happens to come with some cool content, but that plan has stalled from my attentions splitting between maxing out A Scholar of the Correspondence (because The Regard of the Generous Princess of all things turned out to be relevant to another ES literally years later) and now also maxing out Renown: Revolutionaries (because our new mayor has made Favors grinding easier than ever, and as part of my campaign to exploit all the contrived circumstances causing me to associate with Revolutionary scum-looking at you, Museum of Mistakes-by becoming the Thirteenth Season so I can backstab the whole conspiracy when the right moment comes)
…Fallen London has somehow done the impossible and unprecedented through action gain as an incentive: Motivated me to sleep and wake early.[/li][li] edited by Hattington on 8/19/2018
