I sent in a support request, but here’s a hint on stuff not to do.
I had a must card that I was trying to basically set up as “Fire only if this quality is not 2…” In my dimness this morning I completely forgot that we can’t do that. So I set Quality <=1 and >=3 which apparently caused a multiverse paradox. A number can’t be less than 1 and greater than 3! Aarrrghhh! I got to the “perhaps a server has gone out like a dying star” screen…Oh well. I’ll edit the card and fix that…
StoryNexus got reeeally slow and I thought I might be in trouble. I couldn’t even make the card show up, so much did my request send the system into a DeepThought-esque ponder. Luckily I finally got back to my qualities screen, but editing that card still gives me the error screen. Whew, at least the cataclysmic damage only applies to me. I sent in my support request asking them to either reverse my quality values or delete the card, and that I would make a new card.
Well, several hours later I finally got everything to happen so the situation where the card comes up occurred. I had created an alternate card but apparently my computer-breaking Zen Koan card is still there, and I drew that one instead of my replacement.
I got the initial branch text for the card, but no choice branches. I can’t manage to debug myself the toolkit card so I can’t kill my character. Drat.
So no playtesting till the wizards fix it and banish my card to the Old Gods to wrestle over. Unless I can get in as an alt account and grant key of dreams. Hmrglh.
