The election is here! Exciting times! But there are still more mundane questions to be answered, and here’s the place for them!
Has anyone ever sailed up Adam’s Way in an organic ship?
I don’t mean in the Cladery Heart.
Aside from votes for our candidate, do we get anything at the end of the election for high election qualities? Unique items/qualities or valuable goods?
I know that Public Attention can be got from attending parties easier. I did once and didn’t see the option(from Polite invitation)? What parties do you need to attend? Or it needs the talk of the town to be 12 to see the special election option?
I think I just got a public attention by going through the party from “a polite invitation”. I don’t think I did anything special or needed lots of talk of the Town, but I could be wrong.
My own question: after the social action reworks, is there no longer a way to send scandal around? I didn’t see it in the “persuasive and scandal” storylet
It’s indeed there under Attend to Matters of Persuasion and Scandal
However, during the election, you can have a Fixer working for your candidate eliminate all your Scandal/Suspicion in one go.
What is the reward in term of election to upgrade your election career level?
Eventually, how many votes each player contributes to their chosen candidate is:
(election career level) + (Notability) + (election influence)
Ok thanks.
Has anyone visited Tanah-Chook yet?
Huh?
How can you gift things? I’ve seen the ‘give a gift’ card but it seems a limited set of offerings.
@ genesis:
Um – new tomb colony. Don’t go there. It lets you in, but takes you to the message:
(No Storylets have been unlocked yet in this location.)

I’ve sailed past it more times than I care to remember. But never stopped and got off the boat. It would be cool to have a little storylet there, which consisted of people endlessly asking questions. :)
Edit: Ooh, really? In Fallen London? (I was talking about Sunless Sea). Cool…

Let me update further. Someone responded at once and released me – but back to Wolfstack, so all my zailing progress was lost.
I repeat: Avoid.
Does Fred know?

Hey, I recently started playing Fallen London as I found about it from Sunless Sea and currently I am being fascinated by all the depth and stories going down in this town. I am currently completely enjoying exploring on my own and working my way in the Veilgarden.
However, one less explained bit nags at me: Inventory. I have started accumulating quite a barrage of items ( https://puu.sh/wwLRU/c8c1db48ed.png ) and I am having little understanding what to do with them. As I understand, most of these are crafting materials, which then are used in the storylets way later(like I already saw Tales of Terror and Extraordinary Implications being of use in writing a Short Story). Meanwhile some of them I can see no use and I wanted to ask - is there any way to identify whether I can sell the item in the bazaar, or should I keep absolutely everything, as every item has uses in storylets?
Almost everything has a story use of one kind or another, but there are some things it’s safe to sell early on - the jewels, for instance, as you’re not likely to need any of those for the time being.
When you accumulate more of them, or if you have something you really need money for right away, the pearls are pretty safe to sell - it’s easy to get more of them.
The wiki generally has good information on item usage. Some items have an enormous number of usages and probably should not be sold, whereas some have one or none and are pretty safe to sell.
Ex: http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Romantic_Notion
Your magnificent diamond is pretty safe to sell. I held on to mine for a long time and never used it. You get a lot of them late in the game too, so it’s not unique.
