Questions! We all have them. But not, perhaps, if they are answered.
I missed darkdrop coffee after today survey. Is there a way to get that afterwards?
I have been banished and accepted my Foreign Office commission but how do I actually get there? Is it an opportunity card?
How do I start an expedition? I joined the Dilmun Club and went zailing only to see the scientific options locked out.

The Foreign Office can be accessed from Wilmot’s End, which is unlocked at Shadowy 110 through opportunity card or by talking with the urchin at your lodgings.
To start an expedition you have to be kicked out of the University.

If you’ve gone through the Foreign Office and have Imperial Legitimacy, then your next step is to Zail to the Carnelian Coast. If you don’t have Imperial Legitimacy, then you have more legwork to do at the Foreign Office.
A Voyage of Scientific Discovery requires completing the University storyline. Then you’ll see a storylet involving His Bemused Lordship’s butler giving you the stink-eye, which eventually leads to going on a Zee-voyage.
I finally have rubbery renown: 40, and 7 rubbery favors at hand. I am now at Flute Street looking for the location of an Underground Organ, and going through the carousel hoping the organ is at the end. Is this the way to go? Should I take it to the end? Or am I wasting my time and there is a bug?

Take it to the end, and congrats!
Thank you, Suinicide! Argh, this is why I am currently grinding connections as much as I can. I hate favor conversions…
What is the consensus on being banished from the Court? Worth it? Not worth it? I’ve been considering biting the bullet and getting kicked out so that I can finally experience the Foreign Office. If it matters, I am a POSI with 11 ranks in Scholar of the Correspondence.
Well, once you reach SoTC and have copies of all the works you can do, it is really not necessary to hang around there. Plus, it unlocks Port Carnelian and carousel in Foreign Office. I’d say it is pretty all right trade off.
The Life of the Mind at court does have options at 1cp of Making Waves per action, and is freely available making it rather useful.
Personally I’ve found the item side conversions good enough for my MW grind.
I finally got banished when I got a copy of all the works possible, scholar 10, and a memento of passion. Comes with a nice 2 fate reward too, which enabled me to get my ubergoat.
Is there a limit to the amount of actions a player can hold in their messages?
For example–hypothetically speaking–if someone were to send their partner about 1000 actions worth of invitations while they were off on vacation, would said partner return to an inbox of 1000 invitations or would some of them be lost / deleted?
The Foreign Office carousel seems a shorter route to get dramatic tension.

I don’t think there’s a limit on how many you can have waiting. There is, however a limit on how many will show up. If you have too many, the game won’t let you see more until you use some of the ones you can see and refresh the tab.
The Foreign Office carousel does not grant dramatic tension at all.
How do you increase connected widdow above level 20? Is there a card or some actions you can perform repeatedly so you can increase connected widdow?
“Working for the widow” in the spite increases it indefinitely.
Have A Name whispered in darkness at 3 or more; go to Spite and use Working for the Widow. That storylet also shuffles airs of London and some of the options give more widow cp than others.
thanks. If you have high connect hell it seems that a card appears that you need to choose between it or the church. The looser choice resets the connection to 0. Or I remember wrong.
