Hello, I’ve been wondering, what exactly does a Destiny entail? Is it like just another stat-boosting item, or more like an ambition, something that’ll shape what your character will do or experience in the Neath?
Just a stat boost.
I have a question about advancing in March’s Exceptional Story (The Pursuit of Moths). Spoilers abound:
[spoiler]I can’t seem to find a way to advance in the story beyond going to the Flit with one of the Society patrons for the first time. After finding out that the Vandal’s house was blown up I returned to the Society in Veilgarden and called a meeting to order, talked about what happened in the Flit and then, nothing. I’ve visited every location, and as far as I can tell, the only storylet relating to the story is The Society in Pursuit of Moths in Veilgarden, and the only options there are: calling a meeting to order (which only leads to the option of stepping down from the head of the table, as there’s nothing more to discuss), and talking to all of the patrons again, and they are just repeating the same things they said before.
Is the next step an opportunity card, or am I just missing something? Does anyone who played this story remember where to go or what to do next? Sorry about the rambling post, I hope it makes enough sense.[/spoiler]

Is it possible to remove Stains on your Soul (obtained through SMEN) at Flute Street? I thought I saw a storylet choice for this that cost ten Fate, but want to double check before making the long trek beneath the Neath again.

Once you’re In Possession of a Peculiar Personal Enhancement, can you rid yourself of it?
Stains on your Soul can only be removed via Flint. Flute Street can remove Weeping Scars, for a Fate price (I don’t recall how much).
You can get rid of the Enhancement yea, but not really at will - you have to slowly drain it away 1CP at a time by playing the options it unlocks on opportunity cards.

Let me qualify this to say "theoretical and potential." Even the destiny texts describe it as a possible future of your character, not a certain one.

edited by Isaac Gates on 11/8/2018[/quote]I’ll add, in fact, that "Torment" exemplifies how Destinies are theoretical endpoints, since it is precisely not the endpoint of Seeking, meaning that most of the Londoners with the Torment destiny will be incapable of fulfilling it.
It is the high point of your character’s story.
A lot of them have some of your character’s highest wishes carried out; for example, the Liberation of Night, immortality for all, immortality for you, etc.
It doesn’t have that much of an ingame effect excepts stats and some cool text.
(Torment isn’t the only Destiny that ends with your death; choosing to end the Lorn-Flukes also kills you)
Most seekers with the Torment destiny have journeyed North and are permanently gone from London, meaning they’re unlikely to be able to be part of the events shown in the destiny.

Thanks Barse. Do you know any requirement for removing Stains at Flint? Do you need to have SMEN at zero, and/or is there any other price to pay? (Checking for a friend and for future knowledge. =) )

(Checking for a friend and for future knowledge. =) )[/quote]No. The greatest cost is the opportunity cost, which allows you to massively change a quirk, but I think removing Stains is worth that opportunity cost.
My achievement for going through the Hallowmas interview suggests I should have a new option on One’s Public, but I just flipped it there and I only have the usual options. Is this a bug?
It’s not live yet. It will probably appear once Mr. Huffam leaves in a few days.
Is there an update for Goat farming extension, or other extension for summing value of your goods?
Okay, it’s going on eleven months that I’ve had this Perpetually Festive Rubbery on my mantel. How long do I need to leave it there for it to be officially the Most Festive Rubbery in London and not just in title? One year? Two? Until the competition takes their Festive Rubberies off of their mantels? Must I leave it there until the Sixth City comes to pass? The Seventh? Until the End of the Sky Itself? Can it, perhaps, become even more festive?
The answer is in the name: perpetually.
